Today, I took time off to re-read an old Book on my shelf: THE MARCH OF FOLLY: FROM TROY TO VIETNAM; by Tuchman. And it made think about something I hadn't really thought about; THE PROCESS OF DECISION MAKING IN U.S FOR GOING TO WAR. Who has the last say? Can one drunk fellow go start a war? Who checks him? This came when I considered what was in Trump's mind when he decided to attack Iran. I looked at Iran's map, its physical features, and wondered; did they ever ask; if DECAPITATION fails, like it did, what would they do to a country like Iran, so vast; 90 million pple, and a hostile topography? What then? I looked at Iran and wondered what were they thinking?👇. Forget the drones and the missiles, just considering the BASICS; what even a junior military officer would be taught in any military academy; that TERRAIN IS A CRITICAL, OFTEN DECISIVE FACTOR IN WARFARE....Even with MODERN TECHNOLOGY, TERRAIN remains absolutely central. This MARCH OF FOLLY.....indeed!!

Why doesn't the government "regulate" fuel prices? In some countries, e.g South Africa, fuel prices increase or decrease once a month. It makes life more predictable for the citizens and residents. @rggoobi

Well, i agree 100%! Yesterday, I posted about 'Africans taking long to read the times', and wondering why?
