Beat their own citizens just to send a message: we support the zionists. Spain isn't monolithic. The Ertzaintza (Basque regional police), not Madrid attacked Sumud Flotilla activists at Bilbao Airport yesterday. Four arrested, families blocked, batons out, crowd beaten. These were Spanish citizens who just survived Israeli torture: broken bones, sexual assault, forced stress positions, public humiliation by Ben-Gvir himself. Why did Basque police do this? Not crowd control. Messaging. To Paris and Jerusalem. France actively blocked its citizens from joining. Israel was furious at Spain's flotilla support. The Basque government, with its own politics chose violence to show compliance. "Don't worry, we've got this." Meanwhile, the EU? Silent. Their own citizens, fresh from torture, met with batons on European soil. No statements. No emergency sessions. Nothing. Regional autonomy isn't a shield. It's an excuse. This us the EU right now. A second US. You're with us, or we destroy you...
