I don’t think brands have to do anything differently quite yet with the Tik Tok ban situation. Even if it is completely banned ultimately, that will take about 9-12 months to come to fruition. So my best advice is to form a strategy to convert your Tik Tok base over to other platforms, & if it’s your strongest—diversify and invest in strengthening other social platforms like Instagram/Meta, YouTube, and your more direct to consumer areas like email & text lists, subscriptions, OOH advertising etc. I would not stop posting on Tik Tok or lean entirely into other platforms just yet if it’s working for you. That would be like evacuating an entire party because a toilet in the bathroom is flooded. Just block off the bathrooms till you figure out how to clean things up or otherwise pivot.

I’m close to being in that 36% of Gen Z workers that say they have over 1,000 unread emails… I’m not stressed over it per se, but I admit a Slack or Teams message will get a much quicker response!
