If anyone sees this from #I95 and #I95virginia tonight, please update the highway situation. Im very very worried about the stranded passengers. Will troopers be checking on the people? My husband has been gridlocked for 8 1/2 hours and he has diabetes. Thank you!

On I-95 northbound, we have an estimated 20-30 trucks stuck near the Matta River area, around mm 117, south of exit 118 (Thornburg). Towing crew is now on scene to begin removal, with VDOT crews coming to plow and treat interstate surrounding the removal of disabled vehicles.

Numerous drivers remain stopped in the Fredericksburg area on I-95 behind disabled vehicles, and snow + debris. As VDOT removes disabled vehicles, and plows/treats road to make it safe for passage as they are removed, @VSPPIO troopers will reach each driver.
