Here I am fixing the brakes on my Campaign Manager’s RAM hoping to get your attention on an issue I care a lot about as a mechanic – Right To Repair. Right to Repair is simple: if you own something, you should be able to fix it or take it to a technician you trust. But for decades, big corporations have chipped away at this right by making repairs difficult, expensive, or even impossible. We need Right To Repair. When I’m in the U.S. Senate, I’ll cosponsor legislation to get it done.

Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani who was convicted of fraud and campaign finance crimes in 2021, said Wednesday that former President Donald Trump and his allies had lied about President Joe Biden and his family’s ties to corruption in Ukraine to gain an advantage in the 2020 presidential election. Parnas had first spoken out about Trump, Giuliani and others’ involvement in attempts to link Biden to Ukraine in 2020 during Trump’s first impeachment led by Democrats. Parnas' most recent comments came in testimony before the House Oversight Committee's hearing as part of the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into Biden. "The American people have been lied to by Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and various cohorts of individuals in government and media positions," he said on Wednesday, adding that he witnessed "numerous efforts" to link Joe Biden and his son Hunter to corruption in Ukraine despite finding "zero evidence." Parnas said various political figures such as Republicans Rep. Pete Sessions and Sen. Ron Johnson, as well as media personalities at Fox News, "created falsehoods to serve their own interests" and "understood they were pushing a false narrative" that was initially disseminated by Russian agents. "Everyone involved knew they were sharing lies," Parnas testified. "Everything was for the ultimate benefit of Donald Trump and thereby Vladimir Putin."

STOP. Just STOP. All you are doing is helping him. This is how people become dictators, through relentless exposure.

Going from working on the outside of politics to the inside has felt like I’m on of the cavemen in Plato’s Allegory of the Cave that’s just been turned to the light. Now I see all the corruption and deception that goes into creating the shadows we perceive to be reality. This entire system is rotten to the core and needs to be massively disrupted. All of the issues we have today make seem separate but their causes are largely the same- an ineffective and corrupt state that has had its power to regulate intentionally knee capped by special interests to benefit the few at the expense of the many. We need a mass movement of Americans working to elect leaders who not only refuse to take corporate money but also refuse to take money from any source, party committee or other politician who has taken corporate money.

What We CAN Say: Everything we say must illustrate our core beliefs. We usually imply these beliefs, rather than stating them out loud. That has to change.
