@rpodelhi I applied for a passport via tatkaal and I have received the passport already. Additionally, police officer visited my home and the verification was complete from my side (with all docs submitted). How can I know if the police verification was successful/all clear?

To be very clear, I'm talking about the status after the police have visited your residence.

Why is there no way to track the status of police verification of Tatkal passports? RPO Delhi NEVER picks up their phone and the online appl. status deals with passport dispatch only.Should we travel 1hr across the city for a simple inquiry? @MEAIndia @passportsevamea @rpodelhi

Good news everyone! I'm officially a permanent resident. I used my LEA visit to take new photos and ask a million questions.

@aboutberlin @aboutberlin Quick Question (which I couldn't find the answer for): I'm aware the Buergeramt can "renew" residence permits/PR cards when you update your passport, but do they activate the eID function as well? Or we need an LEA appointment after the Buergeramt appointment again?

This is my last Ausländerbehörde visit, except to pick up my permanent residence card next month. Permanent residence cards can be renewed at the Bürgeramt.

@hellogetsafe Your customer service replies are taking months! I enquired about adding my partner to my legal insurance and explicitly said that I only wanted a price quote, and not further action, but you've upped my premium without my consent and don't reply to my email!

The Berlin immigration office shut down its information centre. There is no one left to answer people's questions. Emails and fax numbers were scrubbed from their website. I tried to bring it up to their Ombudsmann but he's gone too. I don't know where to get answers anymore.

@Anuj2394 ombudsmann@lea.berlin.de - They removed the page about the Ombudsmann from the official website, but his name is still in the organigram.

The Berlin Ausländerbehörde: "if this contact form does not serve your needs, contact the Beratungsservice" The Beratungsservice: "the Beratungsservice is shutting down on 1/1/2024, and has stopped answering emails since mid-November."

@aboutberlin Thanks for trying Nicolas! You're truly a godsend for Berlin's Ausländer community. Is there someone we/I could write to in the Berlin government who oversees LEA? LEA must be under some department we can contact to express our annoyance at this, right?

@Anuj2394 I tried to ask but they don't respond. They also removed the Ombudsman's page from Berlin.de. The LEA has become a black box, it seems.

@sporeMOH For boosters in ages b/w 18 and 30, you've only partially updated the FAQ here: moh.gov.sg/covid-19/vacci… FAQ: "When and how can I register for my booster dose?" doesn't address 18-30 yr olds and doesn't tell us if we can walk in for our booster? Can we walk in?
