This is costing the government (ie the taxpayer) about £1.8bn. Instead of gimmicks like this which will not bring down unemployment or support the almost 1m NEETs, the government could have invested this into the SEND crisis or recruiting more teachers or scrapping the VAT on independent schools. No. They’re paying for rollercoasters and soft play instead.

Every family should enjoy the summer without having to think about the pressures of the cost of living. That’s what our Great British Summer Savings package is all about.

For those of you saying Nolan HAD to cast non-Greek actors to appeal to a wide audience: Godzilla Minus One is a critically acclaimed 2023 Japanese kaiju film written, directed, and featuring visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki. It featured an entirely Japanese cast of relative unknowns, was made for just $15 million, and became a massive critical and commercial triumph. The film grossed over $155 million worldwide, became one of the highest-grossing Japanese-language films in history, and shattered records for foreign live-action films in North America. All from a director who was largely unknown to American audiences. This proves that authenticity, integrity, and genuine respect for the source material can resonate powerfully with audiences. Imagine what name-brand auteur Christopher Nolan could have achieved if he had approached "The Odyssey" with the same love and cultural fidelity that Yamazaki showed for "Godzilla." He might have created something truly timeless. But that would have required respecting the story over checking diversity boxes.

To remind everyone what really happened that night: • They cut off testicles and shoved them into the victims's mouths. • They stabbed pregnant women in the womb and raped them. • They beheaded people. • They gouged people's eyes out. French authorities worked overtime to keep these details away from the public. And apparently, the mastermind behind this atrocity will soon walk, because European leaders are cowards and traitors who will never do the right thing.

Mohamed Bakkali, the logistical brain behind the Paris and Bataclan attacks that killed 129 and wounded hundreds more, is allowed penitentiary leave by the Brussels court. If Bakkali continues his “calm and good behaviour” according to the court, he could soon be freed indefinitely.

A solar farm just opened where a beef farm used to be. This is a real sentence about a real place. In Lincolnshire, near Glentworth, on land that grew British food for six hundred years. 1,214 hectares of grazing pasture and cropland, the size of Heathrow Airport, now under panels for the next forty years. It is called Tillbridge Solar. It was approved in October 2025. The locals were against it. The local council was overruled by central government. The farmer who used to graze cattle on that land will not be grazing cattle on that land in your lifetime. Down the road, Springwell Solar got the nod the same month. 1,280 hectares. The largest in the country. Same story. Beef and arable, gone. This is happening everywhere. CPRE found that 59% of England's biggest solar farms are on productive farmland. In one Lincolnshire district, 7% of the land is now solar panels. Three solar farms, Sutton Bridge, Goosehall, and Black Peak, are built entirely on the highest grade of agricultural land we have. Now here is the part nobody mentions at the dinner party. The roofs of the warehouses on the A1 are empty. The supermarket distribution centres are empty. The Amazon sheds, the MoD car parks, the industrial estates outside every town in England, all empty. CPRE's own numbers show that putting panels on the roofs we already have would meet the entire 2035 solar target on its own. The panels are not going on the roofs. The panels are going on Lincolnshire because leasing one field from one farmer is easy, and leasing a thousand roofs from a thousand owners is hard. The shortcut is the pasture. You will not be told to stop eating beef. You will simply find that the farm that produced it is now a power station, and the beef in the supermarket has come from Kansas, and it costs more, and the cow is no longer in the field, because the field is no longer a field. Cover the roofs. Leave the pasture.

@BBCPolitics Translation "Labour think Reform might when a FPTP election so they want to rig the election to give themselves a better chance". If Trump or Farage did this leftists and left wing media would be foaming at the mouth, but when it suits them *crickets*.

@CurtisDaly_ Proof that you don't understand the issue. The issue of importing the 3rd world is growing; offsetting it with UK, EU, & high skill individuals fleeing Labour's economic wrecking ball does not fix the issue - it is combining two different disasters and hoping people won't notice!

@JackDunc1 I could repeat what has already been told to you several times already, but I doubt you'd listen. This is such a blatant twisting of statistics only a fool or a lefty would buy into it - those with an ounce of intelligence see it as a double failure dressed as a win 🤡

@10DowningStreet I knew #Liebour would try to spin this as a win, when the truth is the reduction is from highly skilled people that actually want to contribute running for the hills because of their failed policies. The type of migration we want to be bringing down is actually increasing. 🤡

This is England... A city council meeting in Birmingham. This is the UN's vision for your future. A future you would NOT vote for. Public institutions are meant to represent everyone, yet this looks more like separation or even exclusion. This is not the England you thought you knew. This is the Agenda 2030 New England.

This is a lie. Gas in Britain currently costs 124.46p per therm. In the USA it currently costs 25p per therm. Electricity prices are not "set by global gas rates" because THERE ARE NO GLOBAL GAS RATES. Labour are just lying to you because they think you're too stupid to check it yourself.
Darren Jones MP@darrenpjones

Inflation is down today, in part thanks to action we've taken on energy bills. But the price of electricity is still set by global gas rates, despite half of our electricity coming from renewables. So we're taking steps to fix that too. Let me explain 👇

🚨 Starmer says Brexit made Britain poorer. But the GDP data tells a more awkward story. Since the Brexit vote: UK real GDP: +12.1% Germany real GDP: +6.0% Britain is not booming. Nobody serious should pretend it is. But Europe’s supposed economic engine has grown at barely half the UK’s rate. So why is Starmer’s big answer still more Europe? This wasn’t a reset. It was a relapse: more Brexit blame, more Brussels, more excuses. No wonder voters are walking away from Labour.

This is the Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem pub in Nottingham, which is said to be one of Britain’s oldest pubs. They have been serving ale here since 1189 AD, when King Richard the Lionheart was on the throne. I care more about this pub than about the entire Third World #Remigration
