In 2021, a family was asleep in their Panorama City home when they heard a loud noise outside at 2am. The daughter went to their backyard to investigate and came into contact with a downed power line that was still energized. Her father ran to save her.

"We've not only highlighted the preventable causes behind this tragedy but also inspired a thorough revamp of the DWP's power pole inspection program," says Homampour. This includes immediate action on the most dangerous power poles.

Thanks to the work of our attorneys Danielle Lincors & myself and co-counsel Frish Law Group, LADWP agreed to update 1600 of the city’s most deteriorated power lines to ensure this never happens again, and secured a $38 million dollar settlement.

Both were fatally electrocuted. To make matters worse, the mother witnessed the tragedy. This horrific incident highlights the importance of what we do here at The Homampour Law Firm, PLC. Had the power lines been properly maintained by LADWP, this would have never happened.
