ada yang bilang karena pewarna, tapi ada juga yang bilang karena usia gajahnya sudah tua dan kebetulan mati setelah sesi foto itu.
tapi apapun alasannya, agaknya kita sudah bisa berhenti untuk menempatkan hewan sebagai objek untuk karya seni.
jika mau mengabadikan mereka, baik itu dalam foto atau lukisan, lihatlah yang di alam liar.
sulit memang mendapatkan foto hewan di alam liar, tapi itu jauh lebih baik daripada memakai hewan yang sudah jinak untuk banyak keperluan yang sebenarnya gaperlu.

Data resmi menunjukkan, deforestasi Indonesia sempat ditekan hingga sekitar 104 ribu ha pada 2021–2022, bahkan disebut sebagai titik terendah dalam sejarah. Namun di 2024, angka itu naik lagi menjadi ±175 ribu ha. Artinya tren perbaikan itu rapuh, bukan permanen.
Dan sekarang, laporan terbaru bahkan menyebut angka kehilangan hutan 2025 melonjak hingga ±433 ribu hektare naik drastis dalam satu tahun.
Pertanyaannya bukan lagi apakah deforestasi terjadi?
Tapi kebijakan apa yang sedang mendorong percepatan ini?
Ekspansi tambang, proyek pangan skala besar, dan dorongan swasembada seringkali dibungkus sebagai kepentingan nasional. Namun ketika hutan dikonversi besar-besaran bahkan hingga kawasan lindung,kita perlu jujur ini bukan sekadar pembangunan, tapi trade-off ekologis yang serius.
Lebih ironis lagi, sebagian deforestasi ini terjadi secara legal berizin.
Artinya masalahnya bukan hanya pelanggaran di lapangan, tapi desain kebijakan di atas meja.
Kalau arah kebijakan terus membuka ruang konversi hutan, maka target penurunan deforestasi hanya akan jadi angka di laporan bukan realitas di lapangan.
Data resmi pemerintah : deforestasi netto 2024 ≈ 175,4 ribu ha
Titik rendah : ±104 ribu ha (2021–2022)
Estimasi kehilangan hutan 2025 : ±433 ribu ha (laporan NGO/Auriga)
