St John’s Nation, I’m really excited by the job that @RealPitino, @steve_masiello, @EdKullStJohnsAD, and Tommy Ostrom have done building next year’s team as we continue taking steps toward becoming a Final Four program. I’m incredibly proud of Rick, the entire coaching staff, and the players from the last two seasons for what they accomplished. Think about this……. Who would’ve thought 5 years ago that St. John's Red Storm would become BACK-TO-BACK Big East Regular Season Champions… BACK-TO-BACK Big East Tournament Champions…
And win an NCAA Tournament game in both seasons. That’s culture.
That’s leadership.
That’s belief.
That’s @StJohnsBBall program being back where it belongs!!!!! But I also believe we may need ONE more final piece of the puzzle to truly become a Top 10 team and make a serious Final Four run. I’ve always lived by the mantra:
“Think Big. Dream Bigger.” Who do you think can be that final piece of the puzzle??? Could be:
• A portal player
• Someone testing the NBA Draft waters who could still return to college

St. John's wins back-to-back Big East regular season and tournament titles for the first time EVER. The Red Storm are 59-11 over the past two seasons under Rick Pitino. One hire changed this program. And college basketball.

Watching this St. John’s/UConn Big East Championship game just reminds me of how much I wish we were still in the Big East Conference playing in Madison Square Garden. That’s where we’re supposed to be #Cuse 🍊🤦🏾‍♂️
