Luminate announces that they have begun keeping track of music streaming data among gaming environments on their Connect platform:
“The next frontier of music might be gaming. Sabrina Carpenter’s smash-hit Fortnite collab was one more reminder that if you’re not paying attention to the relationship between gaming and music, you’re missing a huge part of the story—especially for Gen Z.”

@yieldbyabaldnd @talkofthecharts @Jossi_224 not all #1s are built the same, you can still be #1 but weaker; i promise this is not that hard to understand if u stop being dense for one second
English

@talkofthecharts up 4,311 spots, so logically its coming for #1 in 4 weeks 🔥🔥

Locash’s “Hometown Home” is predicted to reach a new peak inside the top 90 of the Billboard Hot 100 second charting week.
It ranks as the #15,512th most consumed US single of the week by weekly units (slightly under 2K).

@Jossi_224 @talkofthecharts @Drake hi, totc admin here. you clearly dont know shit lmao; i fw both heavy cause im not chronically online enough to let stan twitter determine my music taste.

@talkofthecharts @Drake I know this post comes from a place of hurt, @talkofthecharts. Just a reminder real talent can’t be canceled or overshadowed by bots, fake chart predictions, payola, or label interference. Drake earned every accolade through hard work, and he deserves all of it. #Drake 🐐

Drake’s “Nokia” is on pace to reach #1 on both Billboard’s Streaming and Digital Sales charts next week (chart dated April 19th, 2025).

@wesleys_theory1 @talkofthecharts They rounded to get 90,500 and 90,000, Drake’s number was slightly above 90,000 and Kendrick’s was slightly below 90,500. Do you think it’s a coincidence that all the article numbers are to the nearest 500?
English

@talkofthecharts Yes… 90,500 and 90,000 is a difference of 500 units, not 300.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is currently on pace to tie Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” as the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit of all time by the end of this year.
The former is currently on pace to earn an 18th week at #1 this week and will likely earn a record-tying 19th next week (barring none of the song’s competition makes a large effort for #1). Afterwards, Christmas singles are likely to occupy the #1 spot for the rest of the year.

@djrobblog @talkofthecharts @Drake it’s still #1 if you remove all the units from October and November lmao; it leads 2024 by almost 1M units.
English

@talkofthecharts @Drake Yeah, the reason it’s No. 1 is because Billboard’s chart year runs from October to October. So an album that came out last October and has a full year worth of charts to accumulate points will obviously do well on the year-end recap. Also, it was a weak year for rap albums!
English

One year ago today, Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ was released. The project opened with 402K units first week and is the only hip-hop album this decade to score multiple Hot 100 #1 singles (Slime You Out & First Person Shooter). It has sold nearly 2.6 million US units since release and is projected to be the #1 hip-hop album on Billboard’s 2024 Year-End Albums list.

LE SSERAFIM’s ‘CRAZY’ is challenging for a second week on the Billboard Hot 100. It would join Jimin’s “Who” as the only 2024 k-pop singles to chart for multiple weeks so far (@le_sserafim).
