"A woman is the mother of human civilization, yet our patriarchal society treats her as mere property." In this powerful message, activist Kabeer Bheel speaks out against the deep-rooted patriarchal and feudal systems that perpetuate violence against Sindhi women. He calls for an immediate end to the brutal practice of Karo-Kari (honor killings) and challenges the regressive mindset that views women as commodities rather than independent human beings with full autonomy. It is time to dismantle the feudal structures that shield abusers, eliminate double standards, and stand collectively for the safety, dignity, and freedom of all women. #SindhiWomen #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #HumanRights #KabeerBheel #StopKaroKari #GenderEquality #Sindh

From Marginalisation to Liberation: Sindhi & Baloch Call for Justice 🌍✊ The World Sindhi Congress (WSC) stood in unwavering solidarity with the Baloch National Movement (BNM) at a landmark conference in Geneva: “Balochistan: 78 Years of Occupation, Human Rights Abuses, and the Failure of International Accountability.” Held at the Rousseau Conference Hall on March 27, 2026, during the UN Human Rights Council session, this event brought together a global delegation of human rights defenders, political leaders, and activists to amplify the voices of the oppressed. Key Highlights: A United Front: Dr. Hidayat Bhutto (WSC UK & Europe Organiser) delivered a stirring address, emphasizing that the struggles of the Sindhi and Baloch nations are deeply interconnected. The Struggle for Dignity: Leaders like Dr. Naseem Baloch, Manzoor Pashteen, and Dr. Naseer Dashti joined the call to expose systemic atrocities and economic marginalisation. The Path Forward: Dr. Bhutto asserted that collective action and international accountability are the only paths to achieving self-determination, emancipation, and freedom. "Our struggles are not isolated. Coordinated global advocacy is not just important—it is imperative." — Dr. Hidayat Bhutto #SindhiCongress #BalochNationalMovement #JusticeForBalochistan #HumanRights #Geneva2026 #SelfDetermination #UNHRC #StandWithSindh #EndOccupation

Salute to the Brave Women of Sindh! On this International Women's Day, we pay tribute to all the women of Sindh who, despite facing oppression, injustice, and hardships throughout history, have kept the name of Sindh bright through their courage and bravery. From the legendary dignity of Marvi to the political and social struggles of the modern era, Sindhi women have always been at the forefront. The prosperity and progress of Sindh are only possible when our women are free, educated, and empowered. #InternationalWomensDay #Sindh #WomensRights #SaluteToSindhiWomen

Pakistan: On this day, 9 February 1984, Pakistan banned student unions, silencing millions of young people across generations. For 42 years, students have been denied their rights to freedom of association, expression and peaceful assembly, rights protected under international human rights law. #RestoreStudentUnions

International Human Rights Defenders Day is a reminder that progress on human rights doesn't happen by accident. Each step forward happens because HRDs persevere, year after year, choosing to be lighthouses instead of hurricanes. We owe them an eternity of gratitude. #HRDday

The so-called 27th amend is the climax of replacement of the de jure by the de facto. The 26th & 27th amendments are PCOs passed by the puppet parliament. Federal system is ambushed at a time when the periphery is boiling from Balochistan to Pakhtunkhwa, GB & Kashmir. 1/2

Criticism of the proposed 27th amendment to constitution has already started. No wonder they wanted to keep its contents secret until last minute. People know what the establishment wants. Establish knows what it wants is unpopular. The show still goes on. dawn.com/news/amp/19529…

PAKISTAN: The abduction of student activist Ghani Aman Chandio on 28 October from Memona Hospital in Karachi, allegedly by state forces, is deeply troubling. The abduction of a father visiting his hospitalized infant daughter is not only cruel and inhumane, but also a blatant attack on his rights to liberty, dignity and due process. According to eyewitnesses, plain-clothes men accompanied by uniformed law enforcement officials, abducted Ghani, intimidated bystanders in the hospital and confiscated the mobile phones of all family members present. Ghani had previously been named in a criminal case on charges of “anti-state” slogans during a protest and had delivered a lecture at the local university on student politics the day before his abduction. We are very concerned about Ghani’s safety. The Pakistani authorities must immediately disclose Ghani’s fate and whereabouts and ensure his safe return. Further, authorities must conduct a prompt, thorough, independent, impartial, transparent and effective investigation into his abduction, and bring to justice all those suspected to be responsible.

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** ### World Sindhi Congress Condemns Abduction of Political Activist Ghani Aman Chandio from Hospital The World Sindhi Congress (WSC) vehemently condemns the abduction of young Sindhi political activist Ghani Aman Chandio, who is associated with the Sindhian National Congress. Mr. Chandio was reportedly abducted by state agencies from a hospital where he was seeking medical treatment for his family. In a shocking display of inhumanity, his family and children were left alone in the hospital, abandoned in their time of medical need. "Abducting an individual from a hospital while they are seeking treatment for their family is a shameful and cowardly act," said Dr. Lakhu Luhana, Chairperson of the World Sindhi Congress. "This incident highlights the terrifying reality of state lawlessness. Mr. Chandio's family is now left to seek justice for his freedom instead of the medical treatment they urgently require." Ghani Aman Chandio has no known cases or charges. The World Sindhi Congress demands his immediate and safe recovery. If authorities have any case against him, we demand that he be produced in a court of law and granted his full legal rights. This abduction is another painful example of the state's systematic policy of enforced disappearances, which continues to terrorize the Sindhi people. The WSC calls for an immediate end to this illegal practice and demands accountability for those responsible. We urge international human rights organizations to take immediate notice of this gross human rights violation and to pressure authorities to stop enforced disappearances in #Sindh #Pakistan @amnestysasia @hrw
