@LUFCFan01 It was a mix of deaths, illnesses, big birthdays, attending weddings, work etc. Ironically, in the first 8 years I stayed away at most 4 weeks a year. It’s ok, I am not bitter, such is life. But the double standard is mad.

I have been in the UK for over 13 years. When I tried to apply for a citizenship last year I couldn’t because in 2024/25 I spent a lot of time abroad. There is a clause that in the last 5 years prior to applying you can’t be abroad for more than 450 days. Nobody cares I have been here 13 years, am assimilated and speak the language. And I certainly didn’t want to apply, be rejected, and lose the £1.800 fee. And that is fine, the rules are the rules. But what really does my head in is the fact that it is then given to people who live in enclaves, don’t speak English, are on benefits, commit crime… When illegal migrants enter, they are given free everything and not even expected to work. Yet, someone who has zero debts, contributed to the economy, owns a property here, is just given a red light.

@linmeitalks The only way this will happen if the safety net of benefits is removed- especially when benefits pay for than work. If you leave people no choice then they will- right now loads of people claim universal credit and want to work cash in hand only as going legit will reduce UC.

All you need to do is prove you have found it difficult to employ British which happens all the time Brits need to put themselves first and work harder so businesses don’t need to employ migrants. I know three business owners - two in construction and another in bodywork and car mechanics - they repeatedly tried to employ Brits - constant sickness, days off, refused over time all the time so had no choice but to import.

I have noticed after Mikel Arteta took off Eberechi Eze Leandro Trossard went missing in the game and later was substituted. I am not saying Martin Odergaard isn't a good player but he needs to change how he plays the number 10 position. Of all the number 10 in the EPL I think it's only him who plays his number 10 on the left wing and I don't know if it's because he is left footed or it's because of his chemistry with Bukayo Saka. Leandro Trossard has been on form recently thanks to Calafiori and Eberechi Eze but there's a way Martin Odergaard changes the way we play every time he is on the pitch. Let's pray we don't watch our team play the way they played tonight in the remaining 2 games 🙏

At one point I stopped paying attention because I assumed he was either very hungry or trying to impress me with his relationship with the menu. When the bill came, he looked at me and said, “We should split it.” I laughed because I genuinely thought he was joking. He was not joking. I told him.......
