@revenant_MMXX I feel most JRPGs are way too long. Not because 40+ hours it too long but that 40+ hours there's about 10-20 of good and 10-20 of wasting your time or dragging the plot out for no reason. It's rare that a JRPG has great pacing.

No, you're absolutely right. "JRPG" doesn't mean "aimless tedium." Games should not go on forever, they need proper pacing and your interaction needs to feel meaningful. FF7 remakes are especially egregious because they took a 40 hour game and padded it out to 120 hours.
