During my working visit to Cairo, I explored @ElsewedyElec smart meter factory with focus on DIN rail technology. This compact, efficient metering solution is key to @BagajaRen mini-grid rollout, powering accurate billing, transparency & customer trust.

And we’re just getting started… 🔜 Hadejia project site clearance begins immediately, moving closer to the 10MW pipeline of mini-grids across Jigawa State.

Bagaja’s track record speaks for itself: ✅ Zawaciki 1MW (Kano) – Nigeria’s 1st & largest interconnected mini-grid. ✅ Radda 300kWp (Katsina) – progressing strongly. ✅ Barhim Estate 2.5MW (Katsina) – starting soon with Phase 1 of 1MW.

🔌#PoweringZawaciki, #PoweringGrowth📈: In Zawaciki community, Kano State, we are witnessing the power of strategic partnership between the REA, @WorldBank, @RockyMtnInst, @EnergyAlliance and @BagajaRen, enabling the deployment of a 1MW interconnected mini-grid, serving up to 1,000 homes. Over the years, the Nigeria Electrification Programme (NEP) has enabled transformative impact and socio-economic growth, catalyzed by access to clean, sustainable energy in unserved and underserved communities. The REA, through the Nigeria Electrification Programme (NEP) has successfully deployed over 165 mini-grids across the country, optimizing the most effective results-based finance mechanism, the @WorldBank Performance-Based Grant (PBG).
