Claims that a monastery in Yaroun in South Lebanon was “demolished” are false. The site is intact and safe.
Spreading unverified reports like this is reckless, fuels unnecessary tension, and distorts the reality on the ground.
Hezbollah has repeatedly used civilian homes and churches for its terror activities. In recent weeks, it also fired toward Israel from the vicinity of the monastery compound in Yaroun. IDF operations in the area targeted Hezbollah infrastructure while taking measures to ensure the monastery and other religious sites remained unharmed.
We expect an immediate, public and clear correction of this claim.
Israel will continue to protect holy sites and religious communities of all faiths without compromise.

As published by the Board of Peace and the U.S. State Department, the humanitarian activity in the Gaza Strip is managed by the BoP, and this Hamas-led-flotilla is another provocation designed to divert attention from Hamas’s refusal to disarm - and to serve the PR interests of professional provocateurs.
The Greek government agreed that the flotilla activists would be disembarked on its shores, and we thank it for that.
Saif Abu Keshek, suspected of affiliation with a terrorist organization and Thiago Ávila suspected of illegal activity, will be brought to Israel for questioning.
Israel will not allow the breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza.

Since the ceasefire last October, the Board of Peace has SIGNIFICANTLY scaled up support for the people of Gaza. Food aid is reaching 3 times more people than before. Hamas’ theft of aid has dwindled from 90% to less than 1%. According to the United Nations, nutrition has improved dramatically. We are currently hard at work on the next critical step in Gaza’s recovery: finalizing the process by which Hamas decommissions its weapons and allows for the transition to a new government that will lead the redevelopment of this war-torn region. This will allow us to accelerate aid and rebirth. The “flotilla” heading to Gaza is the performative love-boat activism of people who know nothing of and care even less for the condition of Gazans. It is distasteful to trade on the misery of people to build your social media profiles. For those actually wanting to help Gaza, here is a suggestion: use whatever influence you have to maintain the pressure on Hamas so they fulfill their obligations to pave the way forward for the communities they destroyed. If you would like to contribute to the recovery, we welcome support through established humanitarian channels coordinated by the Board of Peace, the United Nations, and the World Bank, so that your contributions reach those who deserve and need our aid.
