@NikTek I think it will be more expensive... They said they won't subsidize the hardware like other consoles, so be more priced like a PC instead of a console... That sounds more like around $800 or more...

Steam Machine looks like an incredible piece of hardware, but it should've had 12GB VRAM minimum. Valve has claimed that they've tested a bunch of games, including Indiana Jones: The Great Circle and they think 8GB is good for most games, mostly because they want to keep the price point where it is. Now, due to Valve not announcing the price of this PC, I won't be too harsh but if it is between $500-$600, 8GB is a bit of a let down due to how much stutters it introduces, there have been countless tests that Hardware Unboxed has done to prove that 8GB VRAM is simply not enough for current AAA Games and future games. If it aims to compete with PS5, Xbox Series consoles and future consoles, then more VRAM should've been an option at least having two variants to choose from.

Sometimes Linux developers are M0R0NS. Ubuntu 22 LTS, apt upgrade to kernel 6.8, rebooted, networking is gone, no interfaces ... why? Because some IDIOT decided to move a huge amount of network drivers to the linux-modules-extra package, not installed by default. Once you reboot, without networking, you can only install it via USB drive ... if you manage to figure out WHY your network interfaces are all unclaimed. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?

@notracingpoint It will suit Alonso as well as Verstappen and maybe even more than Hamilton. They are both really good, with general low grip, but strong front. Norris and Russel will struggle more, I think. Piastri, Leclerc and Antonelli is difficult to judge right now, imo.

Neovim is the default editor for Omarchy. It's easy to install VSCode, Cursor, Zed, or whatever on the side, but you really should try to give it a go — and having @typecraft_dev help you how for free is a great deal!

@reidond69 @Tnt_pot @dhh @typecraft_dev Nah that's not it... As I said it is by choice. I have to use MacOS and Win11 for work, but they both feel worse to me, so I use Linux when ever i can. But that doesn't even matter, because I was curious why do you feel it is 5 years behind?

@reidond69 @Tnt_pot @dhh @typecraft_dev I am running Linux with different Desktop Environments for 8 years + on my main machines. In which way do you feel it is behind? As I am daily working with MacOS and weekly with Win11 as well. I feel Linux is more stable and can be really beautiful.

@F1 No way they will go for a rookie, in a new team. They need driver feedback in every area, not only the car. So in that sense Indycar drivers are rookies in F1 context. A few might have the speed, but that’s not what they need in the first couple of seasons.

@readonly108 zunehmen, also extreme Dürre, extreme Regenphasen aber auch durch veränderte Luft- und Wasserströmung (z.B. Golfstrom) auch extreme Wintereinbruche. In Europa kann man von im Durchschnitt weniger Niederschlag, damit weniger Grundwasser rechnen. (2/2)
