🚨Breaking: Trump EPA will end animal testing! “We’re grateful to @epaleezeldin for committing to clean up the Biden EPA’s disastrous waste by reinstating the Trump plan to eliminate animal testing. Trump’s decision is great news for taxpayers & pet owners"- WCW VP 📰 Zeldin to pursue new ban on animal testing at EPA By Stephen Dinan @WashTimes @epaleezeldin plans to revive a ban on animal testing at the Environmental Protection Agency, The Washington Times has learned. The @EPA had pursued a phaseout of animal testing during the first Trump administration, but the Biden administration erased the deadlines, effectively neutering the policy. Now Mr. Zeldin plans to put it back in place. “Under President Trump’s first term, EPA signed a directive to prioritize efforts to reduce animal testing and committed to reducing testing on mammals by 30 percent by 2025 and to eliminate it completely by 2035. The Biden Administration halted progress on these efforts by delaying compliance deadlines. Administrator Zeldin is wholly committed to getting the agency back on track to eliminating animal testing,” Molly Vaseliou, an agency spokesperson, told The Times. EPA uses animal testing to help determine toxicity levels of exposure to pesticides and chemicals, using tens of thousands of vertebrate animals a year. The goal is to determine the chemicals’ likely effects on humans. The agency does some of the testing at its own lab in North Carolina. @AndrewRWheeler, the agency’s head at the end of the first Trump term, had called for a 30% reduction in mammal testing by 2025 and a complete end by 2035. He also ordered retirement plans to be put in place for some of the test animals, such as rabbits. The Biden administration scrapped the goals, saying they had become a needless point of contention. They also ditched retirement plans for rabbits kept at the North Carolina lab. The Times, using data from the White Coat Waste Project, reported in 2023 that scientists euthanized a rabbit rather than give him a retirement, saying it was too much of a burden to give him the socialization a bunny would need to be healthy. The EPA did not say what its new plans are for retiring the animals. But the @kindnessranch, an animal sanctuary, said it’s ready to take animals if the EPA will turn them over. “As we’ve previously offered to the EPA and other federal agencies, the nonprofit Kindness Ranch animal sanctuary is ready, willing, and able to take in, rehabilitate and re-home rabbits and other animals at no expense to taxpayers, as we’ve successfully done for thousands of dogs, cats, and other former lab animals,” said John Ramer, the ranch’s executive director. “Just say when and we’ll be there.” Alternatives to animal testing, generally groups under the moniker New Approach Methods, have been growing and even under President Biden, the EPA expanded their use. Some scientists argue that NAMs are too far from being a credible reality to pursue a phaseout of actual animal testing. Other scientists say having a deadline is the only way to prod the kind of developments that will result in an animal testing-free situation. The White Coat Waste Project, which pushes to end taxpayer funding of animal testing, said Mr. Zeldin’s revival of the Trump ban is the right call. “We’re grateful to Administrator Zeldin for committing to clean up the Biden EPA’s disastrous waste by reinstating the Trump plan to eliminate animal testing,” said @JustinRGoodman, senior vice president at White Coat. “Trump’s decision is great news for taxpayers and pet owners as it sends a message to big spending animal abusers across the federal government: Stop the money. Stop the madness!” he said. He said EPA’s chemical safety experiments include forcing animals to inhale wildfire smoke and emissions from firearms and compelling companies “to poison puppies with pesticides.” @RepNicole Malliotakis, a New York Republican who has been prodding the EPA to revive the phaseout, also cheered Mr. Zeldin’s move. “Reinstating the Trump EPA plan will save tens of millions of taxpayer dollars and spare countless dogs, rabbits and other animals from painful and unnecessary experiments that can be replaced with modern alternatives that are more effective than antiquated animal testing methods,” she said. Mr. Zeldin, a former member of Congress, had a long history of supporting pro-animal legislation. He was a cosponsor of bills to stop experiments on dogs at the Veterans Affairs Department and to phase out animal testing for cosmetics. He also backed bills to forbid buying or selling shark fins, to create a federal crime for producing or distributing animal cruelty videos, and to ban both horse slaughter and the export of horses if intended for human consumption.

Even PETA praised the Trump administration for phasing out cruel tests on dogs. Remember the beagles? We do. While Fauci funded torture, Trump stopped it. Meet Uno, a beagle rescued from Faucis animal torture chambers. All dog lovers should support this!

🚨“NIH just renewed a $3M project funded by Dr. Fauci at @Mizzou that infests 100s of beagle puppies with ticks” EXCLUSIVE: NIH Renews Funding For Cruel Fauci Beagle And Trans Mice Experiments Under New Trump Admin by @LauraLoomer @LoomerUnleashed’s recent guest @JustinRGoodman, the Senior Vice President of the non-profit White Coat Waste Project, discussed how the U.S. government is the country’s largest funder of animal testing, along with the important work @POTUS has done to stop the government from supporting this taxpayer-funded cruelty toward dogs, cats and other animals in laboratories both in the US and abroad. America may not know their name, but Americans know their work. WCW is the group that first exposed Dr. Fauci and USAID’s funding for the Wuhan animal testing lab that caused COVID.  They exposed Fauci’s beagle tests around the world. Additionally, WCW uncovered the Biden-Harris Administration’s funding for transgender animal experiments that President Trump and @DOGE have been criticizing and cutting. In advance of WCW’s interview with Loomer Unleashed, Loomered broke a new WCW investigation exposing how the Biden-Harris National Institute of Health (NIH) paid billionaire Moderna co-founder Robert Langer’s new biotech company to torture beagles to test an experimental weight loss drug.  The $322,00 grant was given to Langer’s company in September 2024, and it’s still being funded until August 2025 under the new Trump administration. This begs the question: Why is the Trump NIH still paying this Trump hating, MRNA pioneer and vaccine billionaire to abuse dogs? As WCW exposed on Loomer Unleashed, this isn’t the only Biden-era animal cruelty that’s continued on Trump’s watch. Trump’s @NIH headquarters, where the new Trump-appointed @NIHDirector Dr. Jay Bhattacharya is headquartered, still houses a lab that has been torturing beagles in deadly septic shock experiments for a quarter century, and they plan to continue their abuse of animals on taxpayer dime.  WCW uncovered that the NIH and Pentagon are currently paying a laboratory in China to abuse 300 beagles per week in drug tests. The contract was awarded under Biden-Harris and is still active until the end of May 2025, and could be extended if Bhattacharya doesn’t take immediate action.  Trump has canceled grants to some Chinese labs, but 20 other Chinese animal testing laboratories are still eligible for NIH funding.   Dr. Nora Volkow, the longtime NIH bureaucrat who serves as the Director of @NIDAnews at NIH, which funded this Chinese dog lab–and paid for abuses like cocaine experiments on puppies and sex party drug tests on transgender animals–also has managed to keep her job. Hopefully, not for long. These aren’t isolated incidents. Loomered has learned that other horrendous animal testing projects have even been renewed and extended under the Trump Administration. According to WCW, the NIH just renewed a $3M project funded by Dr. Fauci at the University of Missouri-Columbia that infests hundreds of beagle puppies with ticks in vaccine experiments. Records obtained by WCW show that the puppies have their fur shaved and capsules full of hungry ticks glued to their bare skin. Many of the dogs are intentionally denied pain relief. The grant was scheduled to end in May of 2025 and the Trump NIH just extended these animal abuse experiments till May of 2026. The NIH also just inexplicably extended a $3.1M grant for transgender animal testing that WCW exposed last year, that Trump called out during his Congressional address in March, and that the White House specifically highlighted in a March 2025 press release. The Trump Administration has cut at least 10 transgender animal testing grants so far, but one grant to Indiana University just had its end date extended from June of 2025 to June of 2026.  Dr. Bhattacharya has his work cut out for him at the NIH and some hard decisions to make, but banning cruel animal testing isn’t one of them…
