*Quick job update* I’m now a staff writer @SPACEdotcom covering the night sky, neat science and general space shenanigans! (Pinning this for the people confused as to why a gaming-focused acct is bothering them about space)

Happy to answer questions, but what I will say now is I'm after someone who is as comfortable reporting on big TV shows and movies as they are video games. This is very important. IGN covers LOTS of beats, even dipping into science and sports on occasion. It's pretty varied!

IGN is hiring! We're looking for a US-based news editor working West Coast hours. They will report into me (hello, I'm the director of news at IGN!), and get to do all sorts of cool stuff about video games and entertainment. Lots more at the link! ziffdavis.com/careers/jobs?p…

@BBCSport I don’t know which intern you have coming up with the Olympic on demand stream titles for IPlayer but please ask them to stop putting spoilers for the winning athlete or what happened to Team GB in every one? It’s ruined so many events for me, I genuinely don’t get the reasoning

Three views of Comet Lemmon #cometlemmon (C/2026 A6) from Oct 26: wide in the evening twilight above Arcturus, and a telephoto closeup, without satellites (subtracted via stacking) & with the many satellites that crossed the field in 20 min., most #Starlink. Details in Alt Text

Meteors from the night before last. 14 of them are likely Orionids. The Orionid meteor shower peaks tonight! Best time to look is in the early morning before it starts getting light. Meteors captured 10/19-10/20/2025

Comet "C/2025 A6 (Lemmon)" is getting closer and brighter. It may be visible to the naked eye in a few weeks. I captured it this morning in the northeast with my Celestron RASA telescope, ZWO ASI533MC camera, and an Antlia L-Filter from Starfront Observatories.

Komētas C/2025 A6 Lemmon laiklēciena video. Ja ieskatas, tad redz ka netālu no komas, astē, ir gaišāka daļa kas attālinās no komas. Dinamiska. Un tas stundas laikā.

Incredible morning capturing the Perseid Meteor shower in #Pittsburgh. I saw about a half dozen with the naked eye and captured even more on my camera. Two images here: the first a 470 image star trail composite, and the second one that only shows the meteors. More to come.

A brilliant green-red Perseid #meteor and the Milky Way! This meteor left a visible "smoke" trail that lingered for a few seconds. It was an amazing scene in the skies of rural Illinois & the high clouds added to the drama! Canon R6, Rokinon 14mm #Astrophotography #MilkyWay
