The sudden idea that the Commanders don't have any defensive talent is weird to me. I'm not saying they should be a Top-5 defense but the results this year are worse than the talent. 🏈 CB they traded a 3, 4, and 6 for who they pay $18M to. 🏈 CB they drafted in 2nd round who is good. 🏈 CB they drafted in 2nd round last year who was a budding star coming into the season. 🏈 S room AP called one of the best in the NFL this summer. 🏈 Two LB's they've signed in FA and pay $12.5M and $9M a year too respectively. 🏈 A DT they pay $26M a year to who has played in the pro bowl and is balling. 🏈 Another DT they paid $15M AAV to in free agency this offseason who's been balling. Yes they've suffered a few injuries but nothing out of the norm of NFL mid-season stuff. (Missing a safety, DE spot is banged up, etc). There's no reason for them to be giving up 400 yards and 40 points in the division.
