These words apparently were uttered by Gannett’s “Chief Content Officer.” I post them late at night because they, and the responses, likely aren’t suitable for children. Having destroyed local journalism around the nation, Gannett now has had the bright idea to save it.

For Sports Illustrated and the Courier, Billy was the most prominent local voice for College Basketball on a national level.

Sad to hear of the death of Billy Reed.
Lot of people defining him by the awards he won, or the controversial things he sometimes wrote. I define him as a guy who never said no when I needed help, and provided wisdom in my battle with addiction that helped save my life. RIP Billy
