Here's how I introduced 1200 VCs & angels to @waypointai at @SkyDeck_Cal Demo Day in under four minutes last week: ⏳Why now: software engineers are shipping more new features faster, generating more customer-reported bugs, which are already the single biggest inhibitor of engineering capacity. 😱 Problem: 30% of engineering time is spent on escalations; most of the time is not spent coding. ✨ How: Waypoint AI integrates into support & engineering systems to supercharge intake, triage, investigation, resolution & prevention of customer-reported bugs. 🤖 Why this is hard: lots of tribal knowledge hidden in escalations - how a product is supposed to work, what code was changed to make it work, what symptoms are observed vs. root cause - trying to brute force this with LLMs isn't working, you need a purpose-built intelligence engineer that is learning how your product works through the lens of every bug you've ever had and its resolution. 🥊 Competition: systems of record that don't have the full picture (e.g: has the customer conversation but not the code fix), in-house LLMs fed with system data that fail on accuracy and scalability, and support/coding agents that are just as likely to generate code to solve user error presented as a bug as they are to surface knowledge base articles when presented with an ongoing incident. PS: I cut the last minute when I talk about customer traction & fundraising roadmap.
