Never forget @cdiegomorales & @MicahBeckwith went to the NBA Finals with a high profile known felon who went down on federal bribery charges. Didn’t concern Rokita, Elliott, or other @indgop at all.

Sec. of State candidate Max Engling’s paperwork just hit the Indiana campaign finance site. And the campaign chair? None other than the King of the Trust Chart himself, @AndrewIrelandIN Things are getting VERY interesting

EXCLUSIVE: Knox County Clerk Dave Shelton tells @IndyPolitics he was offered Brad King's job at the Indiana Election Division a month ago — in exchange for dropping out of the Secretary of State race. "They know they can't control me. I can't be bought." He's staying in.

Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith says he won't join Republicans who have dropped their support for Diego Morales, telling IndyStar: "Convention races belong to the delegates, and they have my full faith and support to make their choice in who will become the Republican nominee."

I’m disgusted with our own party. I was told I wasn’t a “team player” because I wouldn’t go along.

It’s remarkable that after years of rising crime, social disorder, and strained communities, we are still debating whether law enforcement itself is necessary or legitimate. No civilization survives without order. No community thrives without accountability. And no free society functions when laws exist only on paper. Justice is one of the foundations of a stable society. Law enforcement, when grounded in integrity and restraint, is not oppression—it is part of what protects ordinary people from chaos. A serious society reforms what is broken. It does not romanticize disorder. cnn.com/2026/05/22/pol…

@BrianMJessen @carlinyoder I just get irked when people (especially journalists) demand an outcome, get the outcome, then move on to complaining about how the outcome was achieved. That's all. Anyway, Diego cannot likely win and the GOP chose a better candidate.

Thank you Jim for having the courage to finally say what many won't: they don't think Diego can win. Disagreeing with you isn’t “feigning ignorance.” It’s possible to understand your point and still reject your conclusion. Too many people today assume bad faith the moment someone doesn’t immediately fall in line with their worldview. Today, @jimstinson earned my respect.

@BrianMJessen @carlinyoder Here's a straight-forward explanation: They don't think he can win. It was always rather simple to figure out. You are feigning ignorance. Or maybe it's not an act.

@carlinyoder You're right Mr. Yoder. I am capable of thinking for myself and not blindly following leadership or jumping on the bandwagon. Stoicism is something maybe you should look into to help you live in reality.

FYI Jimmy Journalist... I gave everything to the Indiana GOP for over 30 years. From a PC to a Delegate to campaign volunteer to actually putting my name on a ballot and winning two contested primaries and two general elections against Democrats. Yes, I am demanding explanations from my Party. Ask yourself why you aren't... and why you are all so willing to just fall in line with what leadership tells you.

@JacobThifault @indgop @SheltonForIN @MaxForIndiana Clear choice..? But he didn't meet with delegates and officials across the state over the past year? He just woke up the other day and said "I think I'll run for SOS" and he becomes the clear choice? Or is he running because the GOP is scared of Greg Ballard and Beau Bayh..?

You have no idea what you are talking about or who Max is. He is a greater resource and more present than most congressmen at the grassroot level. Over the past 3 years he has gained significant backing and support across the Hoosier state. He is the textbook example of a public servant and incredibly effective and talented. Diego had a rekoning coming to him and had multiple opportunities to right the ship. Why waste more time, tax payer dollars, and actively miss out on better opportunities for growth and development? Max Engling is the clear choice for Secretary of State.

Boy, watching the @indgop turn on @cdiegomorales is assuming tonight. And what about @SheltonForIN... Guy's been running for a while. What has he done to piss off the Indiana GOP? @MaxForIndiana is a joke of a candidate. He throws his name in at the last minute and I swear delegates think it's the second coming... Also fun to watch how people won't admit that @RobMKendall has been right about this all along...

Most Indiana children who need summer programs still can’t access them due to cost, transportation, and availability. Meanwhile, some politicians (like @MicahBeckwith and @AndrewIrelandIN) insist the urgent priority is closed primaries. This is the disconnect people are frustrated by: families are dealing with real, everyday problems while political energy gets consumed by internal party fights and ideological score-settling. Leadership is supposed to focus first on what materially improves people’s lives. indianacapitalchronicle.com/2026/05/21/mos…

A school concert piece with no lyrics has now turned into a political and cultural battlefield. At some point, we have to ask whether we’re teaching students music—or teaching them that every disagreement must become a public ideological war. A healthy society should be capable of nuance. Not every song is activism. Not every discomfort is harm. And not every issue requires censorship or escalation. When judgment disappears, overreaction fills the vacuum. tmj4.com/news/local-new…

Again, convince me that Max just decided "at the last minute" to throw his name in for consideration... Really hope that the @iugopofficial actually met with @SheltonForIN & @cdiegomorales for consideration. Or did they not let either of them know they would make an endorsement? The @indgop is a joke right now...
College Republicans at Indiana University@iugopofficial

The College Republicans at Indiana University fully support and endorse Max Engling for Indiana Secretary of State. Max is a born and bred Hoosier who is lead by his faith and family. He is ready to fight for election integrity and support Indiana’s small businesses. As a senior advisor to U.S. Senator @Jim_Banks, who is a former Chairman of the College Republicans at IU, Max has a proven record of fighting for Hoosier values. Max is also the former Vice President of the College Republicans chapter at IUPUI, and we are proud to see another CR alum stepping up to serve Indiana.

I remember back in the Indiana GOP days you had to support Republican incumbent candidate in order to get money & support from the party. It’s interesting watching the rules of engagement change.
