22 Reform Councillors have already quit because they never wanted to be elected. Each one costs £10,000 as an election has to take place to replace them. All these bills need to be paid by Nigel Farage as he owns the Reform UK company.

Recently elected Reform councillors, resigning, has now hit 22. Each by-election will cost £10,000 of taxpayers money. And all because none of them had any intention of doing the job in the first place. £1/4 Million so far.

@ZoeSTChan It is perhaps easier to achieve outside of London - plenty of legal opportunities exist in other cities where the cost of living is not quite so high. And the Bar here in Bristol (for example) has become far more diverse since I washed up here 15 years ago. Don't lose heart!

All these talk about changing (enforcing!?) diversity at the Bar is funny because my friends and I are still talking about how we could afford to just try for pupillage for another year, or how one could afford that year on minimal award.
