@AronKlassen @Mormonger That is the Crux of the disagreement. I say if you believe in Jesus, Repent and follow him, you are a Christian, because that is what Jesus taught. Jesus never taught jehad, so I am sure a Muslim doesn't claim to be a "Christian"; If they did, their fruits don't bear that witness

@BryanLyman @Mormonger Following Christ is not the issue at hand. Masses claim to follow Christ in one way or another but don't believe He is One with God the Father and the Holy Spirit and then proceed to bastardize historically held doctrine and the foundational Hebrew faith.

As Mormons, we must be totally honest. Creedalists do worship a Jesus Christ. It's just not the Jesus Christ revealed in the Bible. It is a Jesus Christ that was invented by councils of men and who is not like the one in the Bible. Thus, they are not Biblical Christians.

@AronKlassen @Mormonger Nope, and just because any other faith claims to be "Christian" doesn't mean that they are either. Your point?

@BryanLyman @Mormonger Yes. History is influenced by religion. Well done. That doesn't make them followers of Jesus despite their claims.

@AronKlassen @Mormonger Because Mormons don't claim to and have no authority to exclude you from the Celestial Kingdom, that is your flawed view. Jesus is Judge and advocate, you separate yourself from his presence by sinning. Jesus taught repentance and faith in him is the way to the father.

@BryanLyman @Mormonger Please also explaine to me how my exclusion from your "Celestial Kingdom" should be taken any other way than you stating that I am not truly Christian myself? Kinda the pot calling the kettle back, no?

@AronKlassen @Mormonger The Catholics mean well, they actually have a more realistic claim on the apostolic authority of Peter than any other Church historically, all other Christian religions stem from them. So, if they are corrupt, you are a splinter of a corruption.

@BryanLyman @Mormonger I suppose for the same reason I am bothered by muslims claiming they follow Jesus or that there are shrines to Jesus in Hinduism or that Roman Catholicism venerates saints/the papacy. If it doesn't jive with scripture, that's a problem. IE/ adding to scripture.

@lllllllucian @Mormonger You are the one making the comparison, we don't care if you claim to be Christian, If you really follow Christ, GOOD, you are my Christian brother or sister. A "testament" is just men giving their testimony of what they saw and heard.

@AronKlassen @Mormonger We are who we are: followers of Christ. The problem comes when bigots who claim to have a monopoly on the word Christian persecute us, which we have a long history of happening; but other faiths do also. Why can't other Christians drop the subject? We are Christians. Full stop.

Romans - heirs in eternal life, not deification. Corinthians - Goody dwells in us, not deification. John - Rhetorical, calling out the religious leaders. Lower case gods, but there is one God, and this is/was fully understood and accepted in Judaism. What about the people on other planets thing? Where's that in the Bible or any Hebrew Scripture? I don't have a problem with Mormons. I do think it's unbelievably clear that Smith was a con man. But Mormons are good people. I just don't see the point in pretending it's Christianity. Just embrace what you are. More importantly, I don't personally care what the government thinks about my faith or how they categorize it. I don't care what other people think about my faith or how they categorize it. I know what I believe and I'm cool with people disagreeing with me. Just be Mormon.

@DrewKingma @Mormonger Agreed. However, if you define "blasphemy" as something against only your strict and limited understanding of God, who is Omnipotent and you aren't, and Jesus is my judge not you. Then I am gonna' stick to Mormonism as NOT blasphemous in the slightest. You've been deceived.

@Mormonger Does your religion when all pomp and circumstance is removed center around sex and getting more of it? if so, you are most likely in a cult. Multiple wives - sex Their “god” has multiple wives - projecting sex upon the creator Jesus has multiple wives - more sex projection

@ewfisher1 @Mormonger Others could just as easily define what YOU believe in as false, and that you believe in a false Christ; atheists obviously believe you are nuts. Do they get to define if you are a Christian or not? The answer is NO. Just like you don't get to define what Mormons believe.

@Mormonger Mormons worship a Jesus Christ, a Jesus Christ that was invented by the false prophet Joseph Smith and is contradictory to the Jesus in the Bible.. Thus, Mormons are not Biblical Christians.

@AronKlassen @Mormonger The other worlds thing is extra-doctrinal, not fundamental; but the Bible speaks specifically how God created all in the Earth and in the heavens. The entirety of the Universe without end. There is no end to his creations, and to say otherwise is a limitation on his Omnipotence.

@MikedAlamo @Mormonger Mormons aren't the ones redefining the term "Christian", you are. You are saying they don't fit into your Trinitarian guidelines, so they don't meet the definition. “Do not forbid him; for whoever is not against you is for you.” - Matt 24:26 Go read the whole chapter, dude.

@Mormonger Your entire Schtick is the redefinition of the term "Christian." It rivals the work being done to redefine woman and marriage, and is nearly as unhelpful.

@emit151 @Mormonger Nephi 26:12 in the Book of Mormon says this: "And as I spake concerning the convincing of the Jews, that Jesus is the very Christ, it must needs be that the Gentiles be convinced also that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God;" Sounds the same to me.

@Mormonger Jesus was the ONLY Son of God. Jesus and the Father are One. There is only One God. There is no reconciling that with the Book of Mormon. Galatians 1:8-9 is all you really need to read, though.

@Washingt0nGhost @Mormonger Because no prophet in the Bible had multiple wives, like Abraham... oh wait! And Solomon, oh wait... and... oh wait. Are stones at yourself or something? You chimed in on the conversation; he didn't comment on your post. YOU sound like a con man who wants to play wounded bird.

@Mormonger You’re in a glass house, you should not be throwing stones or gold plates or extra wives at anyone. I will take the decisions of recognized councils led by the church fathers over a cabal of polygamist con men any day. And I say this as someone who LIKES modern LDS people.

@gunslinger1000 @Mormonger Actually, he said: "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." he also said men will try to corrupt the Bible, like you are trying to corrupt what we ACTUALLY believe, and sell it.

@CCodemanco57915 @Mormonger Why would Mormons flee the true church to join your cult? "Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not." - Matthew 24:26 It also says you will hate us for his name sake. Bible for the win.
