Our Country Rep took Amb. H.E. Imma of @EUinTheGambia & @UNDP_TheGambia RR @mmashologu1, on a tour of EU YEP – Tourism & Creative Industries supported stalls at the Trade Fair. The project is supporting 48 small businesses & 3 sector associations to improve their market access.

BREAKING NEWS | The crescent moon for Dhul Hijjah 1447 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah will commence tonight, and ‘Eid al-Adha will be observed on Wednesday 27th May 2026, in shā Allāh. May Allāh ﷻ grant the hujjāj a safe, accepted and spiritually uplifting Hajj, ease every stage of their journey, and return them home forgiven like the day they were born. Aameen. May Allah ﷻ also allow us all to maximise the blessed first ten days of Dhul Hijjah through dhikr, fasting, du‘ā, charity and righteous deeds, and may He accept all of our worship and efforts. Tourism & creative industries are crucial for job creation & income generation. However, many small businesses in these sectors struggle to access markets. At the GCCI Trade Fair, the EU YEP - Tourism & Creative Industries is supporting 51 participants to support their growth.

Birdwatching creates jobs & supports conservation. EU YEP - Tourism & Creative Industries trained members of the Bird Watching Association in first aid, customer care, waste management & map reading. This aims to empower them with skills to deliver safe & sustainable services.

Protecting the planet.🙌 Meet Maimuna Ndure, founder of Senorita, a recycling business. She creates furniture, fashion & décor from waste. Maimuna is participating in the GCCI Trade Fair thanks to the WACA Livelihoods Programme. Visit Stall 68 at the Trade Fair & support her.
