Chainlink’s recent usage for cross-currency, cross-chain settlement demonstrates how large institutions like Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (@ANZ_AU)—one of the world’s largest banks with over $1 trillion in assets under management—are able to easily use CCIP as an abstraction layer to seamlessly connect to any chain from already existing systems, to perform a cross-chain, cross-currency purchase of next generation digital assets/RWAs. Building one global Internet of Contracts will require secure connectivity between both private bank chains and public chains through a universal interoperability standard. Just like TCP/IP unified various internet technologies, we expect CCIP to unify various blockchain technologies into one Internet of Contracts. This one global Internet of Contracts will enable the world’s largest liquidity layer across various geographies and markets. CCIP’s ability to create the fifth level of cross-chain security using multiple layers of decentralization, and advanced risk management capabilities, makes it the leading standard for enabling this large-scale transition of global finance into one global Internet of Contracts.
