Burch Sunshines

We had the pleasure of watching Vault Theatre perform Wednesday morning! It was captivating!

We researched an animal in groups with Mrs. Husketh and painted them with Mrs. Melton. They are proud of their hard work! What cool kids!

We have some awesome work hanging in our hallway. This week we took guesses for the pompoms jar and the sticks jar. Ezra P came the closest to the pompoms(61) with 55 and Ronan was almost exactly right on the sticks(98) with 99!

We had a special treat from LocoPops today! So yummy!

We had fun looking for books at the book swap! Thank you Mrs. Husketh for setting this up every year for our students! What a great way to keep students excited about reading over the summer.

I was unable to get a picture of everyone holding an animal. They all did a great job being gentle.

Thanks also to Randi and Collins Bednar for helping out and answering questions!

I think several students (and Mrs. Melton) are going to be asking for some new pets!

What a great afternoon we had today! Thank you to David Bednar who came to share his love and knowledge of bugs, bunnies, and chickens. He is an entomologist and also has a farm.

It was our last showcase of the year! Ms.Siegel had Kindergarten lead a song for everyone. Thanks for including us in the showcase! Our own, Genevieve performed in the dance club performance!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRINA!! She had a birthday over the weekend. Brina turned 6 on Saturday!

Then they found their word family group and wrote each of the group's words on the back of their maps. They all did really well with this whole activity. Smart cookies!!

After the egg hunt, they had to mark on the map where they found both of their eggs then open the eggs to find the words.

We finished our week with another egg hunt. This time they were finding 2 eggs each that contained word family words.
