Starmer, Burnham, Farage, Polanski…These men have one thing in common. They all want nationalisation. That will mean companies run by politicians but paid for with YOUR money. There’s only one party that stands against their failed ideas and that’s the Conservatives.

Delighted to be selected as the Conservative candidate for Crofton Park. I’m looking forward to speaking to more residents over the coming weeks and hearing about the issues that matter most to them!

We wanted to say a big thank you to #Lewisham and everyone who has helped throughout our campaign 💙 This is about building something bigger in the borough – a real opposition, not just the Labour-Green merry-go-round — it’s a long road, but we put up a long, hard-fought campaign. Now we prepare and get ready to take the fight to the Green Party. This has been a tremendous team effort. Thank you for all your support. #London #Lewisham #Bellingham #Blackheath #Brockley #CatfordSouth #CroftonPark #Deptford #Downham #Evelyn #ForestHill #GrovePark #HitherGreen #Ladywell #LeeGreen #Lewisham #LewishamCentral #NewCrossGate #PerryVale #RusheyGreen #Sydenham #TelegraphHill

A few moments after MPs voted for assisted dying, the Government Whip on duty objected to and blocked the Children’s Hospices (Funding) Bill.

I think that the UK’s Net Zero plans are pinned on 3 very profound errors. 1) the public don’t want to spend lots of money on heat pumps as an investment on the basis that they will pay for themselves after a decade or so. It ignores that millions of Brits live in flats too.

Foundations: Why Britain Has Stagnated. A new essay by @bswud, @SCP_Hughes & me. Why the UK's ban on investment in housing, infrastructure and energy is not just a problem. It is *the* problem. And how fixing it is the defining task of our generation. ukfoundations.co

Narrator: Intermittent wind and solar are not cheap, not secure and their land and mineral intensity means they're not sustainable either. That's three strikes, you should be out Ed.

In 2008, The Dark Knight was top of the box office, and I was a fresh-faced Energy Secretary. At that time we talked about an “energy trilemma” between security, affordability, and sustainability. But now the signs all point in the same direction - the sprint for clean power

You've seen this painting a thousand times before. It's American Gothic, painted by Grant Wood in 1930, one of the world's most famous works of art. But it has a hidden meaning, and there's even a clue. These two people might actually be the King and Queen of the Underworld...
