@senatorbabet Let's test your knowledge. Can you explain how globalist powers control the electoral system, politicians, the judiciary, the intelligence agencies, and law enforcement? As a politician, you should, of course, know this.
I propose we reconsider universal suffrage. Voting should come with civic responsibilities and minimum standards not simply exist as an automatic entitlement. A functioning nation depends on an informed and invested electorate.
Too many people cannot explain how preferential voting works, they do not know how many senators there are, who their local member is, how laws are passed, or even the difference between the House and the Senate.
Yet these same people determine the future direction of the country.
Perhaps voting should require demonstrated civic understanding and a genuine stake in the nation’s future whether through being a net taxpayer, owning land, raising children, military service, or completing a basic civics test.
Democracy only works when citizens understand the system they are participating in and have a vested interest in preserving and strengthening the nation.
A society cannot survive indefinitely when large numbers vote without understanding any of the consequences of the policies and ideas they support.
Universal suffrage was sold as the pinnacle of democratic progress. But looking at the state of many Western nations today, it is fair to ask whether it has instead produced short term Marxist inspired populism, economic irresponsibility, and cultural decline.
@AgainstAtheismX Atheists simply don't believe in your god. Atheism doesn't necessarily make any claims about the origin of the universe and doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility of a creator. Atheists simply assert that the god depicted in the Bibe is a fairytale.
@CalumThomWA@Michz45 There is a time and place for war. Have any of your family ever fought and died in a war. We have family buried in France. Will you wear a white feather in your cap Scottie. You’re no William Wallace
@Goalkickingguru@Michz45 Well, if they do, they do. I'm sceptical, and I'm never going to vote for any politician or political party that supported lockdowns. I don't believe Hanson has really changed her colours. Earlier this year she called for fuel rationing.
@CalumThomWA@Michz45 So did I. What ever you believe about One Nation they are going to change politics in Aust. 90% of the people I know and I know thousands are going to vote One Nation
@Goalkickingguru@Michz45 Her position on the lockdown of the Melbourne towers, as mentioned in the previous reply. And yes, Albo changed his position tax policy, but I don't see what that has to do with anything, as I'm not a Labor supporter.
