@WiredPyromaniac @Aaronpete_ What are you talking about? Tmx is at full capacity. There is no money to 'give away'. Canada simply prints deficits and dillutes wage recipients. This is why inflation primarily hurts the poor, and why we need austerity coupled with aggressive economic & productivity growth.

@CanadaEnRetard @Aaronpete_ Why is it better to waste money on a pipeline that the industry doesnt even use to capacity, than to give money to living breathing human beings?

Here’s my concern. Leaders need to demonstrate that they are grappling with trade-offs. It’s part of politics to take positions, and it’s part of having principles to not cave when the pressure is real. I don’t think one more pipeline is the cure to all of our problems (although it would help), and I don’t think stopping one pipeline negates the fact we are a natural resource based economy. If you’re going to say no, say no fully. Say no to our economy growing. Say no to more social programs. Say no to greater investments in infrastructure. That’s what logically follows from your no statement.

Yes, it's interesting to watch when people try to math out that oh other communities get benefits and things afforded to them. When you stack the benefits and carve-outs, it isn't even a comparison that makes sense. If we want Fair equal evolution of this, all the reserves should be left the size they are and moved to fee simple villages and towns. From there they can self-govern like all others, do land management and community planning. The same is all others, and if you look at the size of the reserves, most especially in rural areas are considerably larger than their neighboring communities when you look at the population. The culture and community would be developed and maintained locally, or not, as it should be. There's a better way forward here with actual accountability and transparency that benefits everybody from the ones who live in these communities who currently can't own anything to everybody else around them. Oh, the other part of this is that it would end all the land claims and the ridiculousness around that.

Bill 20, the K'omoks Treaty Act, is a scam against British Columbian taxpayers. Tens of millions of dollars given yearly to a band of only 340 people. I broke the absurd numbers down in the Legislature when no other MLA would.

We should be proud of our history, proud of our province, and confident enough to dream big again. I believe BC can once again be the strongest, most prosperous province in Canada. Vote for me, and let’s build that future together.

@Bratt_world @Dallas_Brodie @kathycal447 Brattani, your comparison is embarrassingly retarded. K'ómoks gets ~$95,000 per capita, Vancouver receives about $56 per capita. Scaling your "logic" means Vancouver should get $66 BILLION/year in handouts. The FN's are simply useless vampires Stop embarrassing yourself.

@Dallas_Brodie @kathycal447 @Dallas_Brodie why don’t you advocate for the city of Vancouver to stop getting funding from the province and federal governments? Do you understand that every community in BC and Canada gets operating costs and more automatically funded, despite the size of the community??

@JulieDormer @lornevic @PeterMilobar The guy literally voted for DRIPA and his excuse for it after the virtue signaling predictably backfired was 'whoops, didn't see that coming.' If that's the kind of prescient leadership you're after then BC is cooked.

In terms of the bc conservative leadership race, whoever wins will at least be championing some of the change I want, right? Mostly right. It won't matter who wins or what their policy approach is if we don't win the next general election. Also, sorry, but I won't be able to jump onboard with OneBC. I'd be more likely to vote independent if my riding ended up being a BCNDP vs OneBC riding due to the capitulation. Since all the candidates are pledging to repeal dripa and sogi, and they all want to kickstart the ecomony and lower taxes, lower crime etc.., I'm currently lensing my ballot by each leader's approach at the moment. Black's approach is privatization. Yuri's approach is to give up seats. Elliot's approach is to bait social c's. Findlay's approach is to be herself. Milobar's approach can win & fix BC When you're rooting for a political party because you like their policy, plan, and approach to solving issues that matter to you, it feels pretty bummer when they bust at the ballot box. This is where Milobar still wins for me.

Trying to hatchet job the #1 candidate because she is a true conservative, is a low point in BC politics. You all should be very mindful of what comes next, if this election process reeks of tampering. We are watching and you will be in very serious trouble if you try to manufacture a win for a Liberal candidate.

Conservative Party of BC@Conservative_BC·
LEOC STATEMENT: Regarding Federal Probe into Kerry-Lynne Findlay LEOC has a duty to be open and transparent with the membership of the Conservative Party of BC. Since learning this week of the federal investigation by the Commissioner of Canada Elections into Kerry-lynne Findlay for breaches of the Elections Act, the Leadership Election Organizing Committee (LEOC) for the Leadership of the Conservative Party of BC has repeatedly reached out to the said investigators from the Commissioner’s office, but has received no response to date. Further, LEOC has repeatedly reached out to Ms. Findlay’s campaign to provide information and cooperation in understanding what this investigation entails and its merits, if any. Repeatedly, Ms. Findlay has not provided any substantive response or cooperated. Nonetheless, to date, there is not enough credible evidence to take further action. Our goal is to provide the membership with as much information as possible and to act in the party's best interests. This has been, and remains, our goal. We continue to request that Ms. Findlay provide any information and clarity on this Federal investigation. Voting will open on Saturday, May 23, at 8:00 AM with five contestants on the ballot. - Leadership Election Organizing Committee

I’m grateful that LEOC made the right decision not to remove my friend Kerry-Lynne Findlay from the race. I spoke with Kerry-Lynne earlier today and offered her my prayers and good will, which she warmly received. Now that this sideshow circus is behind us, let’s get back to what really matters – choosing a Conservative leader who will unite the right, defeat the NDP, and make B.C. the freest province in Canada!

NEW - The BC Conservative leadership committee has decided NOT to disqualify @KerryLynneFindl . This comes following a two hour meeting this morning about the allegations of campaign finance irregularities from the 2025 federal election as reported by @RobShaw_BC. #bcpoli

Watch my full interview on CBC. Unlike others who rely on notes and carefully edited clips, I have spent years holding David Eby accountable in the Legislature as Finance Critic and an MLA. I am ready to lead. I have the experience, the qualifications, and a seat in the Legislature. From day one, I will be able to take the fight directly to David Eby and present British Columbians with a strong Conservative alternative. @BurrowsAmanda Environmentalist are becoming more insufferable by the day. If these retards don't want to burn natural gas, they are already free to buy it and sequester it. They all go silent as soon as you ask them to incinerate their own money instead of that of strangers.

Everyone wants affordable housing. Both to build and live in. But slashing climate standards is a dramatic pivot away from our climate goals. I’m deeply concerned by the direction of city leadership. Come on. We can still build while also protecting our climate and residents.

@jakefreshy43 @Aaronpete_ Another person will hear it and say "if it's unceded, then why not simply coerce immediate cessation without consideration." Land acknowledgements are simply fuel to conflagerate populism, and will ultimately be viewed as a disaster for first nations in retrospect.

I disagree, I think land acknowledgements can serve as a subtle but effective reminder that in which can encourage others such as the upcoming generation to seek out why "reconciliation" came to in the first place, without also having to give a 2 hour lecture on the historical injustices that lead up to it everytime one is made. It plants a seed that I think is important as I think all of Canada's history is important and is the foundation of our collective morality today.

If the cost of a new 1MM Bbl/d pipeline is Pathways, a $30BN project conceived in a vastly different world that erodes our competitiveness, then I say nay. It took me 4 hours to get my 6 year old an ankle x-ray last night...we do not have to live like this, yet choose to. Sad.

I don't have a problem with toy planes being grounded. Conservatives will ask for cuts but then balk when a thing gets cut? These planes are really, really immaterial. This is exactly the sort of spending that government should be cutting. Surely, a private investor could buy them and keep them running if they cared.
