I created a Tableau dashboard to accompany my Python notebook. The project was already complete and I opted to add just a few stats. When I looked at my to do list my mind was blown by how much really goes into updating a simple project. #DataAnalytics #datafam #dataviz

Following these steps a couple of things will happen: -You will get overwhelmed by the disruption from your normal Kaggling process. - You will likely have to reframe your project a couple of times. -You will build antifragile mindset along the way. Good luck out there!

Focus on developing a business question before you hop into your EDA: -Don't think of your audience as the hiring manager you hope will see your project. Think about what department in a company would use your analysis. Let this direct all of the decisions in your project.

Recent nugget of knowledge that was shared with me: Work hardly happens in a vacuum so might as well share how you integrate multiple tools on one project. #DataAnalytics #Datavisualization

Wisdom doesn’t come from experience. It comes from reflecting on experience. Between ages 25 and 75, the correlation between age and wisdom is zero. Gaining insight and perspective is not about the number of years you've lived. It's about the number of lessons you've learned.

Over the past 5 weeks, I've been learning the basics of SQL through leetcode, datalemur, datacamp, and youtube. However, what none of these resources prepared me for was surprisingly implementing a SQL database!

This is what I mean: I have an intermediate understanding of querying, yet when I tried to actually do a SQL project in pgadmin4 or microsoft sql studio, I didn't have the basic skills to setup the environment or load the data provided for an interview.

i found this golden nugget in a #stackoverflow answer. What a helpful yet passive aggressive way to say, "that's a dumb question" 😂 In all honesty debugging small things is something you learn on your own. This blog post is actually pretty helpful logic! ericlippert.com/2014/03/05/how…

In return, the host got a team of data scientists collecting data on their own, providing valuable market insight and a plethora of visuals for future presentations, FOR FREE.

So this week I went to a practical data science workshop and it was such a cool opportunity. As someone who just finished a coding bootcamp I got more hands on experience ✨cleaning data ✨using new APIs to download data ✨using GIT as part of a team (1/2)

Yes, please learn SQL. Please learn to gather, clean, move data. Learning to fit a SciKit learn model is absolutely useless if you can't get the data together to train and test the model in first place.

I have loved reading @storywithdata books. Great tool to explain the difference between exploratory and explanatory data analysis. I also appreciate this medium article applying these principles in Python 🔥🔥🔥link.medium.com/ciS8nS2uhub
