Automobilista2 V1.6.9.5 is live! This first formula-focused update brings new classes like Formula Edge and F-Hybrid, alongside physics revisions across multiple categories. It also includes improvements to AI, multiplayer, graphics performance (smoke, spray, lighting) and more!

My biggest fear is living near the ocean

@1066Wolf @Nico6882 @ReizaStudios It’s a general issue caused by AMS2 rendering the collar of the race suits in VR unlike every other VR racing game. That means that if you wish to move your seat backwards further than the default position (which usually isn’t right) you often end up with the collar in your view.

@CapPeanut @Nico6882 @ReizaStudios then you must definitely tell them wich cars. Its not generic. If i test 10 cars that are not on your list then I#d say, all ok. So please be more specific

@NikitaOnline17 @ReizaStudios I’m aware - but that setting currently does nothing and appears to be broken. Same goes for the setting to enable or disable rain drops. Changing it doesn’t do anything unfortunately. Very annoying…

@CapPeanut @ReizaStudios There's an option to set a minimum render distance in VR already. I think it's called camera near clip plane

@Nico6882 @ReizaStudios I know, but the ideal position often results in the suit collar clipping into your view in certain cars

@StephenV_ZA @ReizaStudios I’ve done all those things, but whenever I drive the open-wheelers in the rain there are no raindrops on my visor in VR. Was also a bug in Project Cars 2, which uses the same engine.

The first #AMS2 update of 2025 is soon to roll out - V1.6.3.5 will wrap the V1.6.3.X dev cycle with several bug fixes plus physics, audio & AI fine-tuning. Special attention given to the various karting classes & oval variants of the F-USA classes. Some previews below!
