Part 2 of @BaseMintCollect thesis. #PaniniBlockchain offers more interconnection between items via print run chase, rainbow chase, card annual run (all prizm gold), (partial/team/rookie) set chase which keeps supply low and demand high. Another quality deep dive. I might add that PaniniBC offers some native insight which makes investing more measured. For example, complete transaction history and ownership change/provenance history are easily available to everyone, which allows one to access whether a given card is being held by long term player/set/highend collectors, thus supply (much) lower than mint runs indicate, or it’s still in settling state (liquid cards will be always so and market/performance of player and macro will drive the price action), and what everyone’s playbook is etc. This information is completely missing in physical cards unless you have a good sense or research from partial showcases on social media and connecting dots.

Happy International Women’s Day! I often showcase singles and pairings, data and analysis, hobby curation and comps. Not so much about set collecting. This Lotus challenge full set (@CaitlinClark22 x2) on #PaniniBlockchain is not so easy 😮‍💨😅. WNBA FOTL pack has a Mojo /25 pack hit. Each of Lotus below requires 15 such specific Mojos, but only revealed at horn of each challenge session (a few days) and one needs to collect them and keep until end of challenges to get rewarded a Lotus. Lotus in physical hobby is /3 and FOTL exclusive (but not case hit guarantee). Here print run is the number of people who completed the challenges. Very user empowered. Some requirement recycles also happen but rare, so one cannot dump Mojos post challenges. Remember each Mojo required will see major price bump during this window as it shares the final prize card’s value. Moreover, people tend to overpay to get it done instead of waiting for a good deal but ending up buying some Mojos but not completing and being more wasteful. It’s that hunt and the trophy. Some people religiously complete all challenges set out, TomB/KEEEPIT completed 3769 challenges. It’s almost a half time job, or getaway outside a full time job. LOL. There is another strategy which I did, I simply collected all Mojo cards/sets, and all the challenges are auto complete. This in turn also helps FOTL pack secondary prices. This is the product lots of people come from TS and other projects to get involved in Clark hunt and challenges and trying pull great cards. So it’s an important drop for community growth. Scott kept buying users CaitlinClarkpacks and CC hit tracker at fervent paces, establishing herself as top 7 in marketcap on chain, and number 1 in average price (due to base printrun shrinking and lots of Clark cards doing well). Print run of challenge cards can reflect the demand of the player as well as whether there was some choke (pull population, or collector-initiated). I have 4 perfect serials (Clark perfect was bought) out of 17. Which is probabilistically reasonable each card has 2 or 3 special serials (let’s say 2.5) and most are around 12 in print run, so 2.5/12 =0.208 chance and 17 x 0.208 =3.536 which is 4. #whodoyoucollect #sportscard #BlockbyBlock [BC 154/1959]
