Every child in Prep has made a conker face. This conker class will be making an appearance on our 'Be a tree' display.

@ChaseLyncroft Year 1&2 participated in Sky VIP’s Minion Animation Workshop. Brad Ableson explained how to create & personalize  a Minion animation. The results were fantastic and the children were amazed and inspired. #SKYVIP

#cgsY1&2 made bread dough and sculpted hands after learning about the work of Marc Quinn who uses unusual materials in his sculptures. In 1994, Marc Quinn made lots of sculptures of his hands. @ChaseLyncroft @CGS_ART

#cgsy1&2 loved mixing cornflour&water today. Known as 'Oobleck', it is a non-Newtonian fluid. That is, it acts like a liquid when being poured, but like a solid when a force is acting on it. You can grab it and then it will ooze out of your hands. #ScienceWeek2021 @ChaseLyncroft

Year 1 and 2 made string telephones to learn about sound waves. Their voice vibrated the air inside the cup, which then transferred to the bottom of the cup. They were amazed to find out that they could really hear each other! #Learning #CGSAcademic
