I dont have primary school age children but if i did, i think Id send them back on the same day as Prince George and Princess Charlotte

@linzii_s @ChrisFober @jennyeclair Parents have the free choice to send or not send. But we do need the unions and teachers to give them that choice. Some constructive effort and planning needs to be done not political point scoring. We should all be working together to help this country survive.

@ChrisFober @jennyeclair This is why I wouldn't be sending my child back to somewhere that they believe is school to find out it's not the safe, welcoming, playful school they know

@ChrisFober @NikkiGardner20 @jennyeclair Yes it’s sad but don’t prejudge how the children are going to feel and project your anxieties onto them. When I started teaching in the 70s we were not allowed to cuddle them or sit them on your knee.

@ChrisFober @jennyeclair This is why we have the snowflake generation and kids can’t cope with real life. Children are very adaptable and will cope better that you lot by the sounds of it. Other are doing it

@NikkiGardner20 @jennyeclair I worry about their mental health. They always come to our staff for cuddles...how can I turn them away? How can you teach from 2m away? You can’t. 😞 It’s so sad.

The photos of segregated desks and “play bubbles” in primary schools are chilling and heartbreaking. Adults are inflicting their paranoia on small children. Covid19 overwhelmingly afflicts the elderly and unwell. Schools are safe.

@DavidPeplow @jennyeclair From a school with over 500 children we have on average 20 children a day from nursery to y6! A bit different to what the gov now want!

@jennyeclair Schools have been open. Places for key workers kids and most importantly those known to a social worker. Kids have been in schools and teachers teaching them. It has been ok as far as I know. Was seen as protective now seen as death camps. So what changed?
