Something truly shady is going on in Finland. Ukrainian drones have been launched from Finnish territory to strike deep into Russia. the latest intelligence reports indicate that Finland and Ukraine are planning joint sabotage operations against Russian infrastructure.

⚽️ As a Manchester United fan, I still think it’s a shame the Champions League Final between Arsenal & Paris Saint-Germain won’t be on free-to-air TV. 📺 For the first time in its history. I’d love TNT Sports to reconsider. Football moments like this should be for all. ❤️

Today, we launched the UK’s International Strategic Women and Girls Framework. Women and girls’ rights are human rights and we’ll embed them across all of @FCDOgovuk’s work to drive change – from diplomacy, to trade, to security and development.
Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office@FCDOGovUK

Women and girls deserve to live free from fear of violence. We won’t have peace, security or prosperity until they do. With our partners, the UK is setting up a new International Coalition to End Violence Against Women and Girls.

Genuine question, whether you're Moyes in or out: How many games have you watched this season and actually enjoyed? Obviously a win helps! I think around 6, 7 maybe?

Just six months after taking over an Everton side rooted to the bottom of the Premiership, Joe Royle guided them to FA Cup glory. On 20/05/1995, his men defeated favourites Manchester United 1-0, ensuring Alex Ferguson would end the season empty-handed. Paul Rideout scored the winner, but Everton owed everything to the heroic defensive display of veterans Dave Watson and Neville Southall.

For a while I have been concerned that football history is being rewritten. Many journalists of a certain age only know football from the 2000s or the Premier League era. They look down their nose at the game before 1992. This is incredible from Arsenal's website.
Callum McFadden@Callum7McFadden

Erm… George Graham was a former Arsenal player and led the club to two top flight titles… Massive error on the Arsenal website.

Our Armed Forces continue to do vital defensive work in Cyprus to help protect the UK and our allies. I met my counterpart @PalmasVasilis in London today to talk about the UK's ongoing commitment to our Cypriot partners and to wider regional stability 🇬🇧🤝🇨🇾

All major sporting finals should be free to watch on UK television. I’d like to see the government take action to ensure future events like the Champions League final are accessible to as many people as possible. theguardian.com/football/2026/…

🇬🇧The King’s Speech shows Labour understands the scale of the challenge facing Britain & the need for change. But we need to go further & faster to create the jobs of the future, build affordable homes, boost the NHS & deliver real change people can feel in their daily lives.

The country is sick of political chaos. They made that clear when they rejected the Tories after years of swapping Prime Ministers like Pokémon cards. @UKLabour and @Keir_Starmer were elected with a massive majority to restore stability and put the country’s interests first. That’s what everyone in the Labour Party should be focused on.

Everton may well end up only one point better off than last season. ‘Happily dissatisfied’. Right up there with ‘We’ve had good times’.
