Similarly in Manitoba, we have the lowest number of Clinical Psychologists per capita. Accessing specialized mental health services should not be a luxury.

@KarenBDougherty Hi Karen, I am looking into Covid's impact on mental health for one of my university courses. Considering you are very educated in the field, how would you suggest the general public combat mental health decline during the pandemic?

Ultimately, the solution to this problem will involve improving individual wellness. A more difficult challenge is figuring out how exactly one will improve their wellness during this time.

What a fascinating article that is very relatable to our course! Estonia's early investment into digital learning has lead to a smooth transition to remote learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Maybe Canada and many other countries can learn from this model! #EM203Robin

@EM203_MitchM It certainly is an additional challenge on our focus being at home all the time! Let me know if you find out any additional tips to avoid multi-tasking and focus on our digital learning!

This week's lesson reaffirmed a bad habit that I experience as a "digital native": multi-tasking. Although we tend to perform multiple tasks at once with multiple devices and priorities, performance deteriorates in at least one task - especially in an academic setting #EM203Robin

@EM203ABondale Exactly. Even with webcams, sometimes I still find it easy to get distracted with other things on our screen. Will be making it a focus to shut those off moving forward!

@ColinEm203 Definitely agree with this, and it's made even worse when we attend classes without our webcams - so no accountability to actually listen

@EM203LPiersanti Great to hear, Lucas! I have a bad habit of doing work while the TV is on or music is playing, but I am certainly going to try to make a change as well!

@ColinEm203 Hey Colin! Especially after that lesson, I have ensured that I am not multi-tasking anymore during lectures or during studying, as I know that I will not be able to take-in the information as well! #EM203Robin

@Prerna_EM203 This course is certainly relevant this term, more than ever! I have a feeling we will continue to see a shift towards digital learning even after the pandemic is over.

So far, EM203 has taught me so many more facts about digital media that I previously had no clue about. With the current pandemic and everything shifting online, I feel that this course had helped me a lot in understanding how learning digitally can also be effective.#EM203Robin

#EM203Robin Learning in the digital age means that we have access to an unlimited amount of information at our finger tips. As students, we are able to understand the importance of technology in a learning-based environment, and will continue to explore these options in EM203!

@EM203vgeimer Hey Vincent! I also had a shocking discovery of the impact of multi-tasking on my ability to recall through that experiment. I will definitely be incorporating that into my study habits moving forward!

Over these first 3 classes, I have enjoyed learning about the 3 M's: Multi-media, Multi-modal, and Multi-tasking. In particular, the impact of multi-tasking on my learning through the recalling experiment. #EM203Robin

@aliciaEM203 Agreed! I was shocked to see how many less words I could recall while I read them listening to music as opposed to completely focused. I may need to change up some of my study habits!

@ColinEm203 Hey Colin! From Week 3’s tasks, I realized that I’m not really efficient when multi- tasking too. This came as a shock to me since I often listen to music when I work however I’ll definitely keep this in mind the next time I decide to multi-task when working. Thanks for sharing!
