Paul McCartney is 83 and has been performing near continuously for what 65 years or so? His voice is obviously shot but everyone agrees to overlook it because there is a certain pleasure in getting to see a legend still perform. Paul and Ringo are in a league of their own.

I've found that some of the most intelligent young people I know often mispronounce words, because they grew up reading far, far more than watching TV, and so they know the meaning of more words than they know how to pronounce correctly.

There’s a growing trend of parents intentionally raising their kids like it’s the late 90s again. No iPads. No algorithm. Just bikes, VHS tapes, books, outside play, family dinners, and boredom that forces kids to actually use their imagination. Id love to know where they’re getting these VHS tapes?

@Fred_On_X our son knew we couldn't afford the fancy items so he never needed to ask.

How many Gen-Xers and Xennials remember having to ask our Silent Generation/early-Boomer parents if we could afford something off the menu? Or being told the highest price we were allowed to order? Or being told what section we couldn’t order from? Just me?

@Connigl @LauraPowellEsq Not really. Like I live in Texas now but still have a lot of family there. You’re missing the entire point which is that if the majority of your wedding is traveling, you can pick a location that is nice and enjoyable for them. Why is this hard for you?

It’s crazy that destination weddings have come to be considered a normal, middle-class thing.

@FiredUpCoug no. my mother in law always made sure every drawer in her home was clean before she left on a trip.

My wife is never more motivated to clean our house than the morning of the day we are about to leave it empty for a week. Am I the only one to experience this?

@Beebz05 perhaps because at kindergarten the ceremony is mostly for the parents and grandparents. little kids would be better off with a party or crossing a lttle bridge.

Why is everyone all of a sudden against “graduations” outside of HS and college? They’re singing two songs and getting a certificate with a sticker on it. Im down for whatever to celebrate scholars and keep them motivated.

@Connigl This is as close as I was able to get. About 16 percent of immigrants were working in health care occupations.
