@DevilsCheri @StegSketch From seeing ur art a lot i can say that it doesn't look that way to me at all! But maybe trying out rendering (painting over the finished piece and liquifying things you don't like could help! That's what helped me a lot with that feeling
English

@CoraHisa @StegSketch My biggest issue with my art is how "amateurish" it looks even if I can't verbalize why. That's my version of the "hyperfocused on making them not suck" part of the equation, I'm so obsessed with trying to make art look "more professional" that I end up forgoing the creative side
English

Make sure you draw what you wanna draw AND study the fundamentals at the same time. If you falter at either of them it makes it really hard to improve/continue.
Beginners tend to get so hung up on style that they stop learning how to get better. Draw however but learn too

Artists, what’s the most important advice/lesson that you’d give to beginner artists?
English

@StegSketch @DevilsCheri I WENT THROUGH THIS EXACT SAME THING TOO but the artstyles that look obviously westerner are so unappealing to me. And it was super frustrating that that was my 'natural' way of drawing this i struggled so hard with that 🥹
English

@DevilsCheri @CoraHisa I also went through that. Altho for me my mental sentence was more “don’t make it look like a western artist inspired by anime. Make it anime”
English

@StegSketch @DevilsCheri This has an impact on me even now. Maybe anatomically, my drawings aren’t the worst, but compositionally...lighting and color wise...yeouch.
And I feel like I'm working 10 times harder to make something as creative as when i was 14🥹
You're very smart for doing it properly 😭
English

@StegSketch @DevilsCheri I remember being frustrated as a beginner bcs others said my drawings sucked, and I could see it too. So I hyperfocused on making them not suck from a technical point of view (anatomy, rendering) but completely neglected the creative aspects (like composition, colors, message) 😔

@dccxx_kina I think that's perfectly fine!! I just think it's strange to not offer it at all. Pricing it is up to each individual's tastes and views on how much the exposure benefits them ^-^
And also if it's in ur TOS I'm sure the ones who want to use monetised content look for it ^-^
English

@CoraHisa I don't mind if the comm were being used just on twt (even if they have the blue checkmark or not) and not like in the stream itself. I even mentioned it in my TOS , idk if ppl actually read them tho 😭🥹
I think ill just keep it with fees ???
English

Yup, that's what that means, strictly personal.
I always include monetised content in my base price... cuz creators showcasing your art in their content brings more people on your pages, it helps you! I encourage artists on VGen to at least allow monetised content ^^

Hi artist on vgen. Can someone explain to me what this means? I've been very confused for awhile. Does this mean if we buy the art we cannot use it for anything that's not personal at all? I've seen so many posts like this and it turns me away. 🥲
English

@dccxx_kina But it's quite confusing🙁...technically twitch and the platforms i mentioned above are monetised social media accounts, and commercial use is a whole other tier. At least that's what I interpreted from reading the vgen description T . T
English

@dccxx_kina I strongly belive so. "distribution of digital end products shared to commercial and monetized social and content platform accounts".. I interpreted that as twitch, checkmark twitter, youtube etc. Only the commercial rights license means using art itself as a product or for merch

English

@devilfeathers As many people suggested, if you truly like the designs, make fanart 😭! Otherwise, it often comes off as a fake compliment in order to get them to buy stuff from you
English

@SHYS_ICOFFIN AW MAN WHATS WRONG WITH 2 SETS OF EARS 😭???
(on a serious note how would a kemonomimi wear glasses if they DIDN'T have a normal ear set too T . T)
English

@vers_laLune My guess is that somone got mad because it looks like the artist used AI images as reference. That just feels more plausible for eastern europe rather than 'street rules'... and the scribble not being a proper tag kind of supposts this theory🤔
English

@nova_mi_mi Some are real I can confirm! But you gotta look at who's posting.
Usually Vtubers or people who have commissioned art on their profile are legit looking. Though it's quite sad that many use these posts as engagement bait ૮ – ﻌ– ა

@wargtress But I feel that it's alright to prefer big breasts visually, even though you posses small ones. Personal tastes are non negotiable. Though, you could take more time to appreciate universally hot characters with small breasts such as: Soi Feng, Senjougahara, Hu tao etc ^^
English

@wargtress As a woman with small breasts.. I love small breasts. I donno why but I could never see them as unatractive despite what people around me said... I have body issues but interestingly never directed the criticism towards my breasts. Small breasts are extremely cute and hot 2 me!
