So 44 Millione more than what exactly? More than 10? 100? 1000? 2. Nagoshi has netted 20 Million Sold Units of his games among SEGA between 2005-2021. Since games price range roughly between 40 and 60 Dollars in that time you can do the math. That is JUST Yakuza btw lets not forget Judgment and Lost Judgment 3. Another case of: Don’t allow Chinese Investors into the Gaming Sphere. They treated Nagoshi as if he is some sort of a newcomer and that he wasn’t literally the head of one of the most successful Japanese Gaming Studios for over a decade and Directed many projects. They axed his studio because „Too expensive.“ but I guess it makes sense since they (NetEase) rather invest in cheap games that all play the same and are riddled with Microtransactions. I am confident Gang of Dragon was shaping up to be Nagoshis Best Work because I am also convinced that he got tired with Yakuza simply because he sorta reached a Ending Point and before he departed he literally gave them Ichiban Kasuga and what does RGG do with him? Cuck him. Overall a sad story and I hope sooner or later Nagoshi somehow gets his studio because he has the team, the talent and the ideas. I don’t wanna know how much of his life he wasted on this only for them to pull the plug.

@shitcoinity I worked for a mobile games company a few years back. We had 30k tickets in the queue constantly, banned Indians from contacting support unless they spent at least a dollar, the ticket queue dropped to 5k. They only ever asked for free shit or tried to steal someone's account

I've seen Indians doing shit you couln't believe. Had to deal with them for a while as part of a job. Worst customers by far, insanely disrespectful, utterly disgusting, repulsive, the vast majority of them. Also haf to deal with Sikhs, the most shameless liars and grifters I've ever had to deal with. Nothing red pills more than actual interactions with a high number of Indians.

Indians are such obnoxious, creepy, scamming sex pests that Thailand has banned them from their visa-free entry program. They now have to get visas in advance or on arrival, giving Thai immigration officers greater latitude in keeping them out. Fun fact: I got redpilled on the Indian Question in part by my friend @MattLawrenceArt, who has lived in Thailand for most of the past decade. He told me so many unreal stories, such as Indians being so cheap they'll order one beer and six straws to share it with their bros or doing the group haggle with prostitutes. "But there are five of us and we take five minutes each. Please discount?" It was also through Matt that I learned about the "group stare," when a gaggle of Indians will just stare at random women, often while drooling, with a rape-glint in their eyes. I later got my own whiff of Indian perfidy living in Tbilisi, Georgia, which has a LOT of Indians due to its relative proximity and its loose visa-free entry laws. I once got stuck in a metro escalator behind a gaggle of Indians who stunk so badly that the smell was trapped in my nostrils for a good 20 minutes after. As I've said in the past, mass Indian immigration has become such a problem in the U.S. that the average American is now aware of all the creepy things Indians do, knowledge that was traditionally limited to expats in countries like Thailand or Georgia that have large numbers of Indians. A friend of mine mentioned not too long ago that a group of Indians at his cigar club bought one cigar to share. The Indian "head wobble" is so well-known at this point that it's a meme. Across the world, countries are realizing that Indians are more trouble than they're worth and are restricting or banning them. Other countries in Asia like Japan will be next. Eventually, they will be gone from America and the West. DEI: Deport Every Indian.

That's how much worse off they were than Enix and I do totally blame that terrible movie. The board at Square were completely unchanged after the merger and it's been money problem after problem

@Grummz You just stated the problem. It was Square Soft that made those games... Then they became Square Enix. Squaresoft dumped a lot of money into Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Enix wasn't stable either. Together they needed money and Square's global sales records.

What happened to Square-Enix? Everything they used to do was pure gold. Today? Not so much.

#ForzaHorizon6 launched officially today. Given that much of it is set in Tokyo, I figured I'd pick up a physical #Xbox copy in Tokyo this morning. Not easy as it turns out. I know Xbox has 'dead' here for generations, but I still figured I'd be able to get this flagship set-in-Japan title, especially when Japan's reception to it online has been very positive. I remembered seeing Xbox shelf space in many retailers, but it wasn't until I had a better look today that I noticed they're empty. There's not a single game on those shelves. I asked at eight stores, eventually finding that Yodobashi Shinjuku West had a copy out the back even though they had none on display.

I clocked over 20,000 miles in Forza Horizon 1 and none of those were "auto drive". After collecting everything in FUEL, I continued to plod around the wasteland to a total sum of 5000km. I want a game that's lovingly made for players who want to do (almost) all the driving. Players like me who'd rather park somewhere immersive to grab a snack, like one of the game's gas stations. ⛽️ Drivers who appreciate the risk & reward of avoiding *hard* barriers and keeping your wheels on the road or else. Enthusiasts who gravitate to narrow winding roads, only using open highways like this as necessary navigational arteries or for maximum-speed runs. I want an open world driving sim so intrinsically delightful that it begs to be played without fast travel, automation, or mentally "checking out" and driving straight from A to B while smashing through everything. Videogames weren't invented to be played like that! Those are symptoms of tedium. 😪 With all due respect to people who enjoy FH6 for its accessibility & conveniences: I don't want to play a game made for you to enjoy. It's not fun.

@TheGingerPerks San Andreas easily. Vice City is decent, but it was their first time trying to make an actual decent story and it shows. It's too short and the beach is a quarter of the map which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't already small. The captured the vibe extremely well though

DS/3DS/Switch chips are rated for something like 30 to 50 years as long as you play them occasionally.

Did you know early DS games like NEW Super Mario Bros. are stored on Mask Roms, but the larger games that came after are stored on volatile chips that will start failing in 15 years? So Pokemon Diamond & Pearl will last 100 years, but Platinum will not. Piracy is preservation.

LEGO 2K Drive will be delisted from digital storefronts on PC and consoles starting May 19, 2026. You can still buy the game digitally until May 19. Once removed from stores, new digital purchases will no longer be possible, but owners can continue to redownload and play offline and single-player content indefinitely. Only online multiplayer and server-based features will end in 2027.

@InJeffable It was a bit shocking they went for a PowerPC CPU again when they were past their prime. I know Nintendo's whole shtick since the Wii was to use old hardware because Devs already know how to use it and it saves them money, but the CPU was a mistake.
