League of Legends does exactly this. Overwatch did it at one point. Valorant does it. Every gacha game does it. Pkmn Unite does it. Any fighting game with DLC does it. Y’all are literally complaining about being broke or choosing to make adult decisions with your own money.

Pokémon Champions monetization is scummy, but not having to reroll mons because you own the most recent game is not a $70 paywall.

Could be through micro transactions (packs, memberships battle pass, etc) or other pay-for-convenience practices. This game isn’t here to focus on VGC, its focus is on the player base spending money

@YoshMan9rl @Skiddy3715 @thats_sew_kim That’s the unfortunate part. Although there are pros, the cons outweigh them. It’s the execution of these predatory business practices (free to start) and other issues that have people frustrated and wanting more.

@CentroLeaks I'm sorry but everyone is being way too whiny about this whole thing lmao. The only valid criticisms I've seen are about the game's performance (fps, etc) they obviously can't just add every mon and item at once. That'd give them like no content drops besides the main gimmicks
