I'm frustrated with people thinking Detroit's a dangerous place filled with bad people. If you've been to Detroit you'll know otherwise. I just fought really bad with my childhood friend who kept saying that I can't prove Detroit's safe. I've been to Detroit thrice, and not once I felt unsafe - but rather I've fallen in love with the city every single time. How can I show people how awesome Detroit is? What else can I do to let them know how stupid their prejudice is?

I made this post expecting people to relate to me on this but was met with people in Detroit arguing against me saying that where they live is more dangerous than I think. 😢
Let's all work to change the mindset that Detroit is dangerous. I do know that in parts in Detroit it is dangerous as f. But there also are parts in Detroit that are safer than anywhere in the world! Perception of Detroit being dangerous will never change if Detroiters yourselves keep telling outsiders like me that it's more dangerous than they think.
I'm sorry if what I said pissed you off, I could be wrong. But I just wanted to get this off my chest because I love Detroit so much.
