@bostonradio @MikeMutnansky I have tuned into the EEI afternoon show three times since the new show debut and twice Ted wasn't in studio and Rich was babbling about "something Ted said earlier". It feels like each new iteration of the afternoon show is worse than the last.

@MikeMutnansky @bostonradio @bostonmedia617 Since Toucher&Rich debuted on BCN 20 years ago, has there been any other new show produced in Boston with talent not previously in the market that has been successful? Will familiar hosts be recycled until terrestrial finally dies?

@bostonradio Smart move by Fred would be to ignore Rich completely since that "battle" is the only thing that can draw attention to the new show.

Credit to MutStack.com for being first. The Globe was still out looking for ‘sources’ all weekend. Meanwhile, Rich is dying to throw something back at Fred.

@bostonradio Feels like pay desperate Rich peanuts to try and improve on nonexistent ratings, only upside for EEI from that perspective. Just killing time until the stations flips formats anyway, right?

@bostonradio If EEI brings in Rich for the afternoons and the show fails, which both seem likely, is his career in Boston officially dead at that point?

Just to add, you can still listen to Rich & Ted’s Excellent Adventure in Providence but only on the app starting next Friday. Dead Sox games will move to a classic hits station with a tiny signal which doesn’t cover areas outside Providence city limits.

@DumbIsWinning @bostonradio How would Greg bring in more revenue with lower ratings? Do sponsors pay more to be on his show? Lucrative sponsors will work with him and not the hub? What factors in beyond add rates based on ratings and key demos?

@bostonradio Hill brings in a ton of revenue, much more than 98.5, that's keeping EEI alive. More may listen to Fred but he can't generate the revenue that's needed. It's not all about the ratings.....

Feels like this is really about what’s about to unravel on the corporate side.
