I think Canada won this game with their defense in the 2nd half but to your point, RJ Barrett, Lu Dort and Dillon Brooks made 7 threes on 50% shooting. You kinda gotta live with that.

I just want to stress something.
You can play the bench more. You can stagger lineups. They'll help a little.
If you *really* want to save the starters, you have to actually sit them for full games. Minutes pile up, but games are way more about treatment+prep+game+postgame than just game.

This summer I’ve been watching back the Nuggets games post All-Star break and the first two rounds of the playoffs… They don’t even look like the same team. The Nuggets look like a team that was exhausted vs Lakers and then frustrated/fatigued vs the Wolves. This season is going to be about keeping their starters fresh going into the playoffs because even watching back the Celtics (for instance) games…it’s a night and day difference between those two games and the Wolves series on both ends of the court. Just the crispness and fluidity of movement wasn’t there (consistently). Also, the Nuggets will need to replace KCP but they were also very good with Braun in his place because of how aggressive they became once the defensive play ended. They will need to rely on their speed and athleticism more than ever. The Nuggets were up 20 in a game 7 at home so they should have advanced to the WCF as it was but the utilization of their bench is going to be the difference this season I believe.
