Windrose Tier 1 Boss HARD MODE finally beaten! Here's the full final fight of the Windrose tier 1 boss in HARD MODE. Of the 81 deaths in my death counter, over 60 are from this boss.

Protip for Windrose: If you let Plague Crushers knock down trees, they'll do a ton of damage to themselves from those falling trees, making them easier to kill. You can also kite them to the coast and blast 'em with cannons but that's not very sporting.

While this is a classic Supply and Demand curve example, it seems to me that the years it takes for a "AAA" developer to put together a product negates the usefulness of this strategy. Small teams like Embark can move fast enough, with enough passion to do it but big studios are chasing chickens.

I promise all you studios that this is not the next dragon you want to chase

We see this with every genre. If there is money being made people are going to try to get their share of the pie.

@PixelOperative Agreed, and this seems to be the prevailing wind in gaming in general. The small, passionate teams produce better content than large compartmentalized ones.

It's wild to think that a small AA indie studio has a good chance to absolutely BODY Ubisoft in the pirate game space in 2026. Even if you add the 14 players of Ubisoft's AAAA game Skull and Bones, I still predict Windrose will hold it's own against Assassin's Creed Black Flag.
