🚨New preprint! We find evidence of LLMs enabling people to file lawsuits without lawyers (filing "pro se") at historically unprecedented rates in federal courts.👇 1/n

🚨 Our paper on same-race matching in college is now online at Economics of Education Review! We talk a lot about the benefits of same-race matching in K-12 and higher ed but haven't stopped to ask: Who even has access to same-race matching/how often (and where) does it occur?

Hi #econtwitter ! Haven't we all dreamed of analyzing the output of a structural model just like we do with a linear regression table? It is now possible! Simon Lee, @yckwon0407 and I just put out a paper producing Shapley values for structural models. arxiv.org/abs/2410.06875

So happy to see in print!🧵Main q: how does adjusting the size of local gov't units affect service delivery? Ex-ante, not obvious! Smaller population=easier to cater to local prefs, monitor leaders, etc but may be more susceptible to elite capture, miss out on econ of scale, etc

🚨 New paper 🚨 Our RCT shows that in Uganda the returns to vocational training survive the pandemic: skilled workers accumulate more sector-specific experience pre-pandemic and are more mobile across firms, thus increasing their resilience to the shock
Imran Rasul@ImranRasul3

New WP: on the returns to worker skills during the pandemic. Combines 10-year panel data on workers and firms to study how each reacted to the pandemic shock. With the fantastic team of @livia_alfonsi @bassi_vittorio and @spadini_elena Comments welcome! bit.ly/Covidworkers
