Anyone who will lie, cheat, and steal to get power will only be further corrupted by the power they get. They will have absolutely no incentive to do otherwise and reinforcement that it works. They will therefore lie, cheat, and steal from those who supported them, and worse.

Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

Many #Mariners fans, myself included, are frustrated with how the OF/DH platoons have been going for the club. This morning, I decided to whip up some visual aids for the topic.
The big picture problem is simple, Rob Refsnyder has been a worse bat against LHP this year than either Canzone or Raley have been in their career totals, which has made a complete LHP black hole in the lineup. This has also caused other teams to put in lefties ASAP to take Raley and Canzone out of the equation for later innings.
The smaller and more interesting conversation is WHY Rob Refsnyder is struggling so much this season. The process in acquiring Refsnyder was pretty sound, as can be seen in the second graphic.
The other questions that arise from this: when is enough, and what is the solution?

And if the people stating vehemently that it was not a lab leak were wrong, maybe they could also be wrong about the response needed?
But most importantly, reality is grounded in truth. To argue that doesn’t matter is arguing for chaos.

Federal records were deleted. Investigations were obstructed. Emails show a deliberate campaign to silence scientists who questioned the narrative. This is not incompetence. This is a cover-up. And it cost lives.

@FischerKing64 I believe most professional service firms have a mandatory retirement age and it’s usually before 65. I’ve been told that is to keep a path forward for the younger staff and they don’t see a wall ahead of them, I wonder if it’s also to avoid the age decline.

Mandatory retirement after a certain age should become a thing again. Trump is energetic, a bit of an outlier, but he's the second POTUS in a row who will be over 80. That's not really a good thing. You can't be POTUS till 35. Probably shouldn't be POTUS after 70 or 75.

It’s obviously both as it’s a complex issue. But what is easier to change? Human nature to extract resources or the bloated, oversized government that can be lobbied?

If we had a real rule of law, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos would be moderately wealthy businessmen. Their engorged wealth is entirely due to laws they helped shape to extract from the rest of us.

I just spoke to a friend of mine.
Told him the Southern Poverty Law Center was funding the KKK and racism.
He didn't believe me, had NO CLUE about any of it.
I showed him my phone and all the X posts on it...
Was absolutely stunned he hadn't heard about it AT ALL.
This is the biggest civil rights scandal in a generation, and he had no idea.
That's not an accident, by the way, it's a deliberate choice of the media to hide the truth.
The best thing you can do for your friends right now is get them on X.

@Cernovich Most farms aren’t making any money right now and have big losses. Input prices are higher, commodity prices back to the farm are low.
With that said, I think most entry level farm positions in WA pay about 15-20K more a year.

The Republican Party is the only solution to our political problems in America. We have far bigger problems than politics, but the bedrock of Republican ideology reflected in its platform — protection of our individual God-given liberties, smaller and less intrusive government, preservation of the nuclear family, peace through strength international policy — is fundamentally good and worth fighting for.
