I just don't think the show explicitly confirms it, so I still see it as an interpretation rather than a fact.

Plus, there's no sign in the movie of Leeroy addressing it

there is not a single interaction in the whole show that even HINTS at Jax being attracted to men, but he's canonically interested in two female-presenting people AND has very conflicting thoughts and intense reactions to gender and gender roles.
