This is a new position as part of a significant re-shuffle this summer as we prepare for our 2026/27 campaign at Step 4 in the Isthmian North. Knotty was with us all of last season as part of Jay Devereux’s coaching team and took on more responsibilities following the departure of Joe Keith. Knotty is a young coach with plenty of credentials in his career already, including 3 promotions, and is the perfect fit to lead our coaching team into this new exciting chapter. He is very popular with our existing group and we look forward to seeing what he can do with his new, well-earned, responsibilities. Please join us in congratulating Knotty! #UPTHETAGS

Heybridge Swifts are delighted to announce the appointment of James White as the club’s new First Team Coach. A hugely respected figure in non-league football, James brings with him over 20 years of playing experience at Dartford, Concord and Great Wakering, including a successful spell with Bowers & Pitsea and extensive experience across the non-league pyramid. Having worked closely with manager Luke Wilson previously, James joins the club with a strong relationship already in place as the rebuild continues ahead of the 2025/26 season. Speaking following his appointment, James said: “I am delighted to accept the opportunity to join Heybridge Swifts FC as part of the management team. I am excited to start life on the sidelines and contribute my experience from playing in non league for over 20 years.
